NATIONAL INVESTIGATION AGENCY The NIA Act was enacted on December 13, 2008 and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) was born. NIA is the Central Counter Terrorism Law Enforcement Agency in India. It has registered and investigated 315 cases and has an enviable record of 90% conviction rate. NIA aims to set the standards of excellence in counter terrorism and other national security related investigations at the national level by developing into a highly trained, partnership oriented workforce.
