AURORA HIGHER EDUCATION AND RESEARCH ACADEMY Aurora Higher Education and Research Academy, deemed to be-university, Established under Section 03 of the UGC Act 1956, is the First Research -Intensive University in Telangana In 1989, Ramesh Nimmatoori, a young post-graduate in Computer Science and Engineering, made a beginning with Aurora Degree College to offer B.Sc Computer Science, the first of its kind at the undergraduate degree level in the state of united Andhra Pradesh. Aurora - the name of the institution is derived from Aurora Borealis, the celestial northern lights. It also has association with the Sun God Apollo and the Roman Goddess of Dawn, Aurora. The name symbolises the Indian and Western traditions of representing the Sun as a symbol of knowledge and power. Education is a penance for knowledge and Aurora treats it thus.
