NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF FISHERIES POST HARVEST TECHNOLOGY AND TRAINING  The blue colour circular emblem of National Institute of Fisheries Post Harvest Technology and Training (NIFPHATT) has the national emblem of Ashoka Pillar supported by elements of fisheries technology in hexagonal fish shapes on a cyan circle. This circle is ensconced by a white border with cyan and blue lines bearing the name and place of the Institute inscribed on. The circular seal is supported by a pair of fish. The colour cyan represents sky, hope and spring, peace, tranquillity, calmness, relaxation, emotional balance.  

VIKRAM UNIVERSITY

VIKRAM UNIVERSITY Vikram University was established in Ujjain on March 1, 1957. Shri Ranchod Lalji Dhabai donated the land for it from Barnagar. The brown colour emblem of the university has a pair of outward facing lions from the Ashoka Pillar holding a lotus on water, which supports an open book, above which the tower of the Mahakal temple of Ujjain with a light wheel and halo behind and crested by its name and place are plced. At the base of the emblem, its year of establishment is inscribed. These are ensconced by an arching border similar to arches of the Sarnath. At the bottom, a banner carrying its motto in Sanskrit which is an extract from the Kathopanishad ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’, (Shloka 11, Ishopanishad) meaning ‘Immortality is Gained from Learning’ is placed. EMBLEM OF ODISHA

EMBLEM OF ODISHA The state emblem of Odisha incorporates a horse which is about to be mounted by a rider. This is a reproduction of a sculpture found in the famous Sun Temple of Konark in the eastern sea coast of Odisha. This has been adapted as a state emblem by Government of Orissa. Home Department resolution dated the third August 1964 through order Number 20634-IE.-1/64-Pol. The order says “The question of adopting a separate State Emblem for this State in place of Ashoka Pillar’ was under consideration of Government. On the advice of the Sub-committee appointed by the Council of Ministers it was decided to adopt the design of the ‘Konark Horse’ symbolizing discipline, strength and progress as the State Emblem”.
