SRI VENKATESWARA UNIVERSITY Sri Venkateswara University was established in 1954, in Tirupati to cater to the educational needs and aspirations of people of the Rayalaseema Region of Andhra Pradesh and has completed sixty eight years of service. It offers postgraduate programmes in arts, sciences, law, management , education, physical education, engineering and pharmacy disciplines. SRI VENKATESWARA VEDIC UNIVERSITY Shri Rameshwar Thakur, the then Governor of Andhra Pradesh  played a key role in establishing the vedic university. It was expected to be established according to the decision taken by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Board in 1992. The Board of TTD on March 10, resolved to pursue action on the earlier resolution of the board. The proposal culminated July 22, 2006, Governor and the Chancellor inaugurated the courses at Sri Venkateswara Vedic University, at Dharmagiri.A bill for the establishment of Vedic University was passed by the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly and it received the assent of the Governor on September 12, 2006. The Act No.29 of 2006 was published on September 15, 2006 in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette. SRI VENKATESWARA VETERINARY UNIVERSITY Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (SVVU), Tirupati was established vide Act No.18, 2005 of Government of Andhra Pradesh with a mandate to strengthen education, research and extension activities in veterinary, dairy and fishery sciences. The then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh inaugurated the university in the premises of College of Veterinary Science, Tirupati. The university has faculties of veterinary science, dairy science and fishery science and started functioning from July 15, 2005 at ANGRAU campus and with Tirupati as headquarters from April 1, 2006 ( SVVU ).  The predominantly blue colour circular emblem has a blue circular border which bears the name of the university in Telugu and English. JAGADGURU SRI SHIVARATHREESHWARA MAHAVIDYAPEETHA The origin of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, aneducational movement, can be traced to the establishment of a small hostel in 1928 to cater to the accommodation needs of students pursuing higher studies in Mysore. His Holiness Jagadguru Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji established the Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara Mahavidyapeetha (JSSMVP) in 1954. These institutions, located in strategic areas, serve a broad spectrum of society, from virtually remote tribal villages to metropolitan cities such as Bengaluru, Noida, New Delhi, Ooty, and Coimbatore, besides their presence in the United States, Mauritius and Dubai. Its emblem has the picture of the Sri Adi Jagadguru Bagavatpada, which is ensconced in the letter ‘ॐ’ drawn as a border.In the border at the top 'Kayakave Kailasa' in Kannada  meaning ‘Work is Worship’ and at the bottom ‘JSS MAHA VIDAYPEETHA’ are written.

THE PUNJAB REGIMENT

THE PUNJAB REGIMENT The Punjab Regiment is one of the oldest in the Indian Army. It traces its origins to 1761 when the first battalion was raised at Trichinopoly. The first four battalions of what later became the 2nd Punjab Regiment and finally the Punjab Regiment, were raised during the hostilities in the Carnatic in south India between 1761 and 1776. The numbers and titles of the battalions changed during the successive reorganisations of the Madras Presidency Army and later of the Indian Army during the 18th, 19th and 20th Centuries. The names changed from Coast Sepoys to Carnatic Battalions to Madras Native Infantry to The Punjab Regiment. In 1951, four battle experienced battalions of the former princely states of Punjab, joined the Regiment. These were a battalion each from the Jind and Nabha State Forces and the First and Second Battalions of Patiala Infantry. SRI SATHYA SAI INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION Prior to 1997 in Sai literature the four values of Sathya (Truth), Dharma (Righteousness), Santhi (Peace) and Prema (Love) were frequently mentioned together. Ahimsa (Nonviolence) was grouped with these four values at times by Sai Baba in His discourses, but the general perception by devotees at the time was focused on the grouping of the four values. When the logo was changed to include five values, perception of devotees also adjusted to five values. Dr. Adivi Reddy, author of Nine Gems addressed the inclusion of nonviolence with the group of four values. In Volume 4, p. 153. “Can a person who adheres to Sathya, Dharma, Santhi, and Pema indulge in violence? Moreover, in the earlier Sai literature, only these four values have been mentioned.” For that matter, even till today we find in the inner page of the front cover of Sanathana Sarathi, the following inscription: “Devoted to the moral and spiritual uplift of Humanity
