COCHIN UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY The emblem of the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUST) features a rising sun and coconut palm, which represent the birth of a new centre of learning in Kerala. The book represents learning, the factory represents its application and the transmission tower represents its dissemination. The motto in Malayalam ‘തെജസ്വി നാവധിതമസ്തു’ (Shanti Mantra, Katha Upanishad) meaning ‘May the wisdom accrued deify us both – the teacher and the taught - and percolate to the universe in its totality’ is written on the circular border and on the platform supporting the logo has its name inscribed on it.

NOORUL ISLAM CENTRE FOR HIGHER EDUCATION Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education (NISHE) comprising of Noorul Islam College of Engineering has been declared as a Deemed to be University by Ministry of Human Resource Development (Department of Higher Education), Government of India under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, on the advice of UGC, vide Notification No.F.9-51/2004-U.3 dated December 8, 2008. The gold and brown emblem of NICHE is a gear wheel with the icons of a computer; Caduceus or Staff of Hermes with a pair of wings and serpents; a power transmission tower; set of books, a scroll of certificate and mortarboard hat and a traditional lamp held by a pair of hands. All these are ensconced in a border which carries the name of the university. KARNATAKA POWER TRANSMISSION CORPORATION LIMITED Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited is a registered company under the Companies Act, 1956 was incorporated on July 28, 1999 and is a company wholly owned by the Government of Karnataka. KPTCL’s circular emblem has a pair of border lines ensconcing a map of Karnataka with a transmission tower with connecting lines. Above the map is its acronym in Kannada and below in English.
