MONARK UNIVERSITY The orange and blue emblem Monark University (MU) has a monogram of ‘MU’ crested with a crown made from the nib of a pen. In the counter three parallel lines of Tripundra representing Prana - the life force is placed. These are supported by a blue colour circular arc. Below these its name is written in sans serif bold capitals. The nib of a pen symbolises freedom, intelligence, creativity, professionalism, determination and diligence; the tiara or crown denotes symbolises power and status; the colour blue denotes serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty and the colour orange denotes energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness.

SHRI SHANKARACHARYA PROFESSIONAL UNIVERSITY The insignia of Shri Shankaracharya Professional University (SSPU) is a yellow shield with very thick blue outlines, which holds a blue circle and a portion of its name in blue. The blue circle holds the motifs of lotus supporting a human head on a base of tripundra, its motto in Sanskrit which is an extract from the Kathopanishad ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’, (Shloka 11, Ishopanishad) meaning ‘Immortality is Gained from Learning’, an open book and the balance portion of its name. The shield symbolises protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; tripundra denotes prana or life force and the three responsibilities performed by Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva respectively; the open book denotes education, knowledge, learning and wisdom; the human head is supported by all the support it needs to learn; yellow s

K.K. MODI UNIVERSITY The emblem of K.K. Modi University (KKMU) is a shield which has a thick multi coloured borderline with cyan, bluish green, red, yellow and blue colours in which motifs of tripundra, a human in prayer, a lotus and the Devanagari letters ‘ॐ ऐं ह्रीं श्रीं’ are placed. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the tripundra denotes prana or life force and the three responsibilities performed by Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva respectively; the praying human denotes the student worshipping the flower of learning; the lotus symbolises purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; ॐ ऐं  ह्रीं श्रीं are the four bija (basic) mantras and these are used to invoke the blessings and powers of Goddesses - Saraswati, Parvati, Shakti and Lakshmi and the multiple colours of border denote unity in diversity.

SHRI DHARMASTHALA MANJUNATHESHWARA UNIVERSITY Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara University (SDMU), Dharwad has been established under the Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara University Act 20I8. The university has been sponsored by the Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Education (SDME) SocietyThe emblem of the university has a brown Shivling with Tripundra supported by a blue toned banner with huge wings, on which its motto ‘Truth Liberates’ is written. Shivling is a Hindu religious symbol which represents Lord Shiva as the power of all existence, generation, creativity and fertility at cosmic level; the Tripundra, three horizontal lines on the forehead symbolise will, knowledge and action and the wings represent the motto visually and metaphorically of the liberation achieved through knowledge and wisdom.
