NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY KURUKSHETRA National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, NIT Kurukshetra was founded in 1963 as Regional Engineering College Kurukshetra. It was rechristened as National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra on June 26, 2002. Its emblem is a gearwheel, in whose border the name of the institute and the place is written. In a circle within the gear a bow and an upward pointing arrow is placed. The bow radiates energy. There is a downward pointing arrow in the name of the place emphazising the importance of the place and the grounding. ON a banner placed below its motto ‘श्रमोनवरत चेष्टा च ’ meaning ‘Hard Work and Consistent Efforts’
