DR. RAM MANOHAR LOHIA INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES The emblem of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (DRMLIMS) has a the Satff of Caduceus or the Staff of Hermes with a pair of wings and entwined by serpents, supported by an open book placed on a depiction of one of the university’s buildings in a circle. This circle is ensconced by a blue circular border, which carries its name in Devanagari. At the bottom, on the circular seal on a blue banner, its motto in Sanskrit ‘सर्वे संतु निरामयाः’ (1.4.14, Inspired from Brihandaranyaka Upanishad, Shukla Yajurved) meaning ‘May Everyone be Healthy’ is inscribed. The Staff represents medicine and the medical profession and the open book denotes education, knowledge, learning and wisdom. The colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

ATAL BIHARI VAJPAYEE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY The insignia of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU) has a circular seal supported by a blue banner bearing its motto in Sanskrit ‘आरोग्यमेव अटल अमृतम्’ meaning ‘Health is the Ultimate Nectar’. The emblem houses the motifs of the Staff of Caduceus or the Staff of Hermes with a pair of wings and entwined serpents supporting rising sun and supported by an open book at the bottom and a pair of fish on sides on a white circle. The circle is ensconced in a blue border which carries its name in English and Devanagari. The sun denotes life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the staff denotes medicine and medical profession; the fish represent the State of Uttar Pradesh and the open book denotes education, learning, knowledge and wisdom.

DHANAMANJURI UNIVERSITY Dhanamanjuri University is a State university located in Imphal, Manipur was established through The Dhanamanjuri University Act, 2017 on April 6, 2018. Maharani Dhanamanjuri gifted the Dhanamanjuri College and in recognition of her contribution to the development of higher education, the university is named after Maharani Dhanamanjuri, the wife of Maharaj Churachand Singh. The emblem of the university has a motif of the human flying with wings and also with the appearance of an open book. The flying human denotes the stakeholders and the students who upon learning feel liberated and fly as free birds and the open book symbolises education, knowledge and wisdom. Below the motif, the name of the university is written in two lines supported by dividing lines.

GOPAL NARAYAN SINGH UNIVERSITY

GOPAL NARAYAN SINGH UNIVERSITY Gopal Narayan Singh University (GNSU) at Jamuhar, Rohtas was established in 2018 as a private university. The emblem of the university has a torch with flame and its bottom ends as a pen. These are surrounded by an orange circular table with eleven persons seated around it. The torch is supported by an open book, which transforms into a pair of wings. The emblem is surmounted by its motto in Sanskrit ‘विद्या धनं सर्वधन प्रधानम्’ meaning ‘Knowledge is the Supreme Wealth’. At the bottom of the emblem its acronym is written in orange sans serif font. The torch is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; the pen denotes freedom, intelligence, creativity, professionalism, determination and diligence; the open book denotes knowledge, education and wisdom; the wings evolving from book denote the outcome of education as it gives wings to the aspirations of the learners in discovering the unknown and the circular table also

SHRI DHARMASTHALA MANJUNATHESHWARA UNIVERSITY Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara University (SDMU), Dharwad has been established under the Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara University Act 20I8. The university has been sponsored by the Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Education (SDME) SocietyThe emblem of the university has a brown Shivling with Tripundra supported by a blue toned banner with huge wings, on which its motto ‘Truth Liberates’ is written. Shivling is a Hindu religious symbol which represents Lord Shiva as the power of all existence, generation, creativity and fertility at cosmic level; the Tripundra, three horizontal lines on the forehead symbolise will, knowledge and action and the wings represent the motto visually and metaphorically of the liberation achieved through knowledge and wisdom.

ARMY AIR DEFENCE COLLEGE Army Air Defence  College (AADC), a prestigious training institution of army air defence is located in the lap of nature aside the majestic Bay of Bengal on the Eastern Sea Coast of India. The sprawling complex of the college, spread over more than 2700 acres of land, is brimming with state of the art training infrastructure and facilities belonging to the contemporary technologies, ably managed by a dedicated and possessed team of Instructors. In addition to Army, personnel of the Indian Navy, Indian Air Force and students from friendly foreign defence forces also undergo various courses at this college. The role of this College is to function as a centre of excellence, on all matters concerning army air defence. In 1955 a case was taken up to relocate Air Defence Wing due to lack of adequate ranges for gun and missile firing. In 1963 Government of Orissa offered 3000 acres of land at Gopalpur-on-sea along with seaward firing range, whic
