GURUGRAM UNIVERSITY The emblem of Gurugram University (GU) has a yellow shield supported by a pair of laurels, crested by a flame and by a red banner below. The shield houses the motifs of rising sun, a pair of twigs,an open book, a globe, a human brain, a banyan tree, robot, WiFi symbol, picture of persons holding a trophy, its name and place and a bow and arrow. On the banner its motto in Sanskrit ‘बिद्या जीवनाये न तु जीविकाय’ meaning ‘Knowledge is for Life and Not for Livelihood’ is written. The lamp and the flame represent human energy; the rising sun denotes enlightenment; the twigs denote medicines; the book denotes new world; the globe represents global collaboration; the brain represents the brainstorming for creativity; the banyan or Bodhi tree is the symbol of Sansara (World) and Dharma; the robot and WiFi denote technological advancement; the trophy and persons denote team effort for success and the bow and arrow denote the historical heritage.

J.G. UNIVERSITY The emblem of J.G. University (JGU) has a pictorial resembling an electronic circuit and a brain with ‘JG’ in red placed as a part. At the right its name JG is written in red bold condensed sans serif, which is supported by ‘University’ and its motto ‘Excellence by Choice’. This is an attractive and bold emblem.

WEST BENGAL UNIVERSITY OF TEACHERS, TRAINING, EDUCATION PLANNING AND ADMINISTRATION The West Bengal University of Teachers, Training, Education Planning and Administration (WBUTTEPA) was established on January 16, 2015. The emblem of the university in blue and cyan has a globe supporting an open book with images of a silhouetted face of human with highlighted brain and map of the State of West Bengal; crested by a mortarboard hat and supported by a pair of laurels. All these are ensconced in a circular border with its name and year of establishment written on it. A broad cyan colour ribbon goes around this emblem bears the motto ‘Excellence in Teacher Education’ of the university. The colour blue denotes denotes trust, character and integrity and the range of other colours denotes the diversity and variety the university caters to; the globe denotes education, knowledge, influence, timelessness, global unity and interconnectedness; the book denotes knowledge, wisdom, discover
