J.C BOSE UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY The emblem of J.C Bose University of Science and Technology (JC BUST) has a red floral circular spread houses a white border with red outlines bearing its name and State. Inside the circle are the motifs of a nose cone of a rocket; an inverted triangle; a key, a nut with bolt and double head nut and bolts representing science, technology and engineering and the name of its place. Below the circular insignia, on a yellow banner with red outline the university’s motto in Sanskrit ‘विद्या परम् भूषणम्’ meaning ‘Knowledge is the Supreme Ornament’ is inscribed in blue.

DELHI SPORTS UNIVERSITY The emblem of Delhi Sports University (DSU) in blue, yellow and red has a blue circle which bears the name of the university in Devanagari and English with a motif of an athlete in motion created using six strokes and one dot. The logo is simple, elegant and direct.

DELHI PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES AND RESEARCH UNIVERSITY The emblem of Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University (DPSRU) has an open book with images of molecular structure and a graph denoting science and medical diagnosis; the Staff of Caduceus or the Staff of Hermes with a pair of red wings and entwined serpents denoting medicine and medical profession, ensconced by a blue border which carries the name and acronym of the university separated by a pair of laurels. Below the seal, on a yellow banner, its motto in Sanskrit ‘उद्यमः कार्य साधकः’ meaning ‘Enterprise is the Seeker of Action’ is inscribed. The open book symbolises education, learning, knowledge and wisdom; the laurels symbolise ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; the colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty and the colour yellow denotes happiness, energy, vitality, focus and creativity.

CT UNIVERSITY The emblem of the CT University (CTU) has a torch with flame transformed into a nib of a pen at its handle supported by a pair of laurels. All these are ensconced by a blue border with yellow outline, which carries its name and State of the university. The torch with red flame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; the nib of a pen symbolises freedom, intelligence, creativity, professionalism, determination and diligence and the laurels denote ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication. The colour blue denotes serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty and the colour yellow means happiness, energy, vitality, focus and creativity. 

UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, MEGHALAYA

UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, MEGHALAYA The University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM) is the first State Private University of its kind in North East India. The university is founded by the Education Research and Development Foundation (ERDF) which was founded by Mr. Mahbubul Hoque in 2005 at Guwahati, Assam. The emblem of the university has a circle divided into two halves by a representation of molecule on a yellow background and blue gear wheel holding its acronym in its counters. These are ensconced in a red circle. The circle is circumscribed by its name and place. The molecular motif denotes science and the gear wheel denotes engineering and technology.

NALANDA OPEN UNIVERSITY

NALANDA OPEN UNIVERSITY The Nalanda Open University (NOU) is the only university in Bihar that offers distance learning and it was founded in March 1987. The emblem of the university has a dharma chakra with eight spokes in blue and yellow colours supported by an eight petalled lotus in red colour with a black border of sixteen petals. On each side below this motif laurels are placed and a swastika is placed in between them. Below these on a yellow banner the name of the university is inscribed in Devanagari. The motto in Sanskrit ‘पावका नः सरस्वती’ (Rig Veda 1.3.10) meaning ‘Sarasvatī, the Purifier’ surmounts the emblem. The chakra represents the Magadha dynasty and its Buddhist origin; the lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the laurels denote ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication and the swastika means ‘That which is good’.

RAJA MANSINGH TOMAR MUSIC & ARTS UNIVERSITY

RAJA MANSINGH TOMAR MUSIC & ARTS UNIVERSITY Raja Mansingh Tomar Music & Arts University (RMTMAU), Gwalior is a tribute to a generous and music loving ruler Raja Mansingh Tomar (1486-1518). The Madhya Pradesh Government started the university on August 19, 2008. The emblem of the logo has a blue circle with a  icositetragram (twenty four pointed) yellow star with a motif of red colour lotus with twelve petals and its motto in Sanskrit ‘नादब्रह्म शब्दब्रह्म रूपब्रह्म उपास्महे’ meaning ‘We worship the Brahman of Music, the Brahman of Words, the Brahman of Form’. The name of the university is written in Devanagari and English around the circular emblem. The lotus symbolises purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty and the star symbolises divine force or energy, harmony among all things in life, with its points providing insight into how we can strive towards achieving this goal. 

AISECT UNIVERSITY, HAZARIBAG

AISECT UNIVERSITY, HAZARIBAG The government of Jharkhand promulgated the formation of AISECT University, Hazaribag on May 16, 2016. All Indian Society for Electronics and Computer Technology (AISECT), established thirty one years back with a novel concept of spreading computer literacy and technology training in rural mass in their mother tongue. Dr. C V Raman University at Bilaspur, AISECT University at Patna, AISECT University at Jharkhand and AISECT University at Hazaribag were set up by AISECT. The emblem of the university has a flower-like pattern created with human icons in red, blue and yellow. The name of the university and place are placed on its right with bold sans serif and serif fonts.  

CHAITANYA

CHAITANYA Chaitanya ‘Deemed to be University’ was founded by the Viswa Bharati Education Society in 1991. The emblem of the university has Goddess Saraswati, the God of learning, knowledge and wisdom placed on the map of India in a circle. This is crested by an open book, which supports a rising sun. All these are placed in a light yellow coloured circle. This circle is circumscribed by a blue border with a red borderline carrying the name, status and the address of the university. At the bottom, on a light green banner its motto ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya,1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘Lead me from Darkness to Light’ is written. The open book symbolises knowledge and wisdom and the sun symbolises light, universal prosperity and path for growth.

SHYAM UNIVERSITY

SHYAM UNIVERSITY Shyam University is established under the Act 28 of 2018 made and promulgated on October 5, 2018 by the Governor of Rajasthan. The circular emblem of the university has its acronym written in blue and red in a circle, with the second vertical stroke having a torch. The circle is ensconced by a border on its name and the name of the State are written separated by a [air of stars. The torch symbolises enlightenment and hope; the colour blue signifies serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty and the colour red signifies passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration.

KONGUNADU COLLEGE OF NURSING

KONGUNADU COLLEGE OF NURSING Kongunadu College of Nursing (KCN)was founded by Dr.P.Raju and is run by Kongunattu Arakattalai. The college is located near Coimbatore city on Thondamuthur Main Road. The emblem of the college has the motifs of a traditional lamp supported by a red cross at the bottom and a pair of blue lions on the sides. These are placed above the acronym of its name. All theses are ensconced in a yellow circular border which bears the name and place of the college. Below this on a border its motto 'Knowledge is Power’ is written. The traditional lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity and laurels signify victory, accomplishment, honour, recognition, immortality, peace and harmony. A pair of lions signifies courage, confidence and pride and the red cross symbolises a symbol of protection and a sign that help is at hand.

THE I.K. GUJRAL PUNJAB TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY

THE I.K. GUJRAL PUNJAB TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) was established by an Act of State Legislature on January 16, 1997, to promote technical, management and pharmaceutical education in the State. It got its current name in 2015. The red and blue emblem of the university has a structure of an atom with a sun placed in the centre and supported at the bottom by a pair of hands on a blue circle, meaning the nourish, support and propagate technical and scientific education. It is ensconced in a red border which bears the name of the university in Punjabi and English. Below this on a red banner the name of the district ‘Kapurthala’ in which the university is located is written. The colour red represents passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration; the colour blue denotes trust, character and integrity and the colour yellow denotes happiness, energy, vitality, focus and creativity.

UTTARAKHAND SANSKRIT UNIVERSITY

UTTARAKHAND SANSKRIT UNIVERSITY Uttarakhand Sanskrit University (USU) is a State university located in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, India. It was established in 2005 by the Uttarakhand government to promote the study of Sanskrit language and literature. Its emblem has motifs of white mountains, flowing blue rivers and a pine tree ensconced in a circle with yellow border bearing its name in Sanskrit and supported by a book and a traditional lamp on it. At the bottom on a red banner its motto in Sanskrit taken from Sri Bhagya Suktam ‘वयं देवानां सुमतौ सयाम’ meaning ‘Happy in the Deities’ Loving Kindness’ is inscribed. The book denotes knowledge and wisdom; traditional lamp denotes light, path for growth and way forward; rivers of Uttarakhand are symbolised here; tree is symbolising the pine trees of the State and mountains represents the Mountains of Himalayas of the State. The colours used are representative of the State and are widely found in its environment.

RAJIV GANDHI UNIVERSITY

RAJIV GANDHI UNIVERSITY Rajiv Gandhi University (formerly Arunachal University) is the premier institution for higher education in the state of Arunachal Pradesh and has completed twenty five years of its existence. The university was converted into a Central University from April 9, 2007. Its predominantly blue circular emblem has yellow details and a red banner. It has a Buddhist stupa supported by Buddhist symbols; crescent moon, traditional lamp, sun and a book. This is supported by a red banner on which its motto in Sanskrit ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’ meaning ‘Knowledge Imparts Mortality’ is written. All these are surrounded by a circular border which bears the name on top and a pair of laurels on bottom.

THE RESERVE BANK OF INDIA MUSEUM The Reserve Bank of India Museum is one of a kind experience that explains money, its role in the economy and your role in it, in a fun and interactive way. Its insignia talks about the three aspects the museum deals with money; gold and the genesis of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the red, yellow and blue strokes of brush signify this. In the middle the emblem of RBI is placed. Below this the name of the museum is written. This logo uses colours and forms which are not often used by the central bank.
