CASA EVA LUNA AYURYOGA RETREAT The logo of Casa Eva Luna Ayuryoga Retreat is a crescent moon with decorative details with its name written on the right in white and cyan. Its tagline ‘Your Home in India’ is written between the lines. These are placed on a violet rectangle. The crescent moon refers to Fertility, life and death and the colour violet creativity, wisdom, sensitivity, spirituality, nobility, ceremony, mystery, enlightenment, future, imagination, dreams and wealth.

MANIPUR INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY The Manipur International University (MIU) was established through the Manipur International University Ordinance, 2018 (Manipur Ordinance No.1 of 2018) as a State Private University. The circular emblem of the university has a number of motifs. The Dharma Chakra of the national flag crested by a snake surmounted by a crescent and a pair of laurels and on either side by elephants. Below the chakra on two banners the name of the university is written in Meiteilon and English. The ‘Chakra Manipura’ emblem of Manipur tops all the motifs and on its sides the motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञानम् अनन्तम्’ (Slokh 1, Sri Govindashtakam) meaning ‘Knowledge is Infinite’ is inscribed. The emblem has a decorative border. The elephants, Snake with crescent and Chakra Manipura are the traditional symbols of Manipur and its royals. 

ANDHRA UNIVERSITY

ANDHRA UNIVERSITY Andhra University (AU) is one of the oldest educational institutions in India. Andhra University was constituted in the year 1926 by the Madras Act of 1926. The emblem of the university has motifs of a pair of serpents, a lotus, rising sun, swastika, lotus petals, crescent moon and stars. The rising sun with its rays of light represents the university; the Lotus is the seat of both the Goddess of Prosperity - Lakshmi and the Goddess of Knowledge - Saraswathi and it is opening at the break of dawn. The sun's rays are surmounted by the Swastika, the ancient symbol of benediction among the Aryans. The outer circle of the crest, with its sixty four lotus petals, represents the university’s sixty four arts and sciences into which all knowledge was divided in the classical tradition of India. SATAVAHANA UNIVERSITY

SATAVAHANA UNIVERSITY In June 2008, the Postgraduate Centre of Osmania and Kakatiya Universities were upgraded as Satavahana University. It is named after the Satavahana dynasty that ruled this region. The emblem is designed incorporating the inscriptions on various coins and objects of archeological importance found during the excavations carried out in the district, which represent the ancient culture of Karimnagar district. Most of them are representatives of the then prevalent Buddhist culture. The upper half of the column has six arms, representing the arrow, fish and hooks. This is taken from a coin found during excavations. Immediately over this, four crescents around a dot are found on a square block. The columns are joined with a beam containing a design of leafless trees in the gateway. The beam is decorated by bulls in the two extremes supported by two beetles. JAMIA MILLIA ISLAMIA Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), an institution originally established at Aligarh in United Provinces, India in 1920, which became a Central University by an act of the Indian Parliament in 1988. In Urdu language, Jamia means ‘University’ and Millia means ‘National’. In the green logo, right on the top is a star with the inscription ‘Allah O Akbar’. The star of Allah O Akbar is the guiding star of Jamia. Beneath this glittering star is a book with the inscription, 'Allammal Insaana Maalam Yalam' (Taught Man that which He Knew Not). This is the Holy Quran. On either side of the book are two date palms typical of the land where God’s last Prophet was born. They are symbolic of the barren valley in which nothing grew; but it was there that the sapling of din took root. These trees are emblems of hope from a land in which not a leaf or flower could sprout; but wherein suddenly the springs of hidaya burst forth and drenched the ‘communities of the heart

RAJIV GANDHI UNIVERSITY Rajiv Gandhi University (formerly Arunachal University) is the premier institution for higher education in the state of Arunachal Pradesh and has completed twenty five years of its existence. The university was converted into a Central University from April 9, 2007. Its predominantly blue circular emblem has yellow details and a red banner. It has a Buddhist stupa supported by Buddhist symbols; crescent moon, traditional lamp, sun and a book. This is supported by a red banner on which its motto in Sanskrit ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’ meaning ‘Knowledge Imparts Mortality’ is written. All these are surrounded by a circular border which bears the name on top and a pair of laurels on bottom.
