SHAHEED NANDKUMAR PATEL VISHWAVIDYALAYA The circular emblem of Shaheed Nandkumar Patel Vishwavidyalaya (SNPV) has a blue border, on which its name and place are inscribed in Devanagari and English. In a circle ensconced by this border, motifs of Banjari Mandir, a rising sun, an open book, a veena, a hockey stick, a traditional lamp, a crest of wheat, a local leaf and flower, a gear wheel and symbol of electrical power and its year of establishment. The motifs represent the local culture and heritage, the courses offered in the university; the open book symbolises education, knowledge, wisdom, education and learning and the sun denotes life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity. Below the circular seal, on a brown banner, its motto in Sanskrit meaning ‘श्रद्धावाँल्लभते ज्ञानम्’ (39, Chapter 4, Srimad Bhagavad Gita) ‘The Devoted and Faithful Gain Knowledge’ is inscribed.

BARKATULLAH UNIVERSITY

BARKATULLAH UNIVERSITY Barkatullah University (BU) formerly known as Bhopal University which was established in 1970 in Bhopal. In 1988 it was renamed as Barkatullah Vishwavidyalaya, in memory of the freedom fighter Prof. Barkatullah. The logo of the university  has a shield with a pair of black outlines, holding the motifs of an open book surmounted by a rising sun and supported by flowing waters of river are placed inside an oval and circumscribed by its name in Devanagari and English. Its motto is written on the open book in Sanskrit ‘श्रद्धावाँल्लभते ज्ञानम्’ (39, Chapter 4, Srimad Bhagavad Gita) ‘The Devoted and Faithful Gain Knowledge’. The shield symbolises protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; The rising sun symbolises light, universal prosperity and path for growth; the open book symbolises knowledge, education and wisdom and the flowing waters of river denote life, fertility, freedom, a path and the passage of time. 

RAJ RISHI BHARTRIHARI MATSYA UNIVERSITY

RAJ RISHI BHARTRIHARI MATSYA UNIVERSITY Establishment of Matsya University, Alwar was notified vide Gazette of Madhya Pradesh on August 23, 2012. The name of university was changed to Raj Rishi Bhartrihari Matsya University, Alwar on July 4, 2014. The emblem of the university has the motifs of a human in a meditating posture housing the acronym and place of the institution and year of establishment, with an open book and a traditional lamp. This is supported by its motto in Sanskrit ‘श्रद्धावाँल्लभते ज्ञानम्’ (39, Chapter 4, Srimad Bhagavad Gita) ‘The Devoted and Faithful Gain Knowledge’. All these are ensconced in a white border with green and orange outlines. This border holds the name of the university in Devanagari and English. The meditating posture is called the lotus pose or padmasana.
