P.K. UNIVERSITY The emblem of P.K. University (PKU) has a blue gear wheel housing a red circular border bearing the name and place of the university, which holds the motifs a hammer, spanner and a computer. The gear wheel represents interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; the motifs of tools represent the field of engineering and science the university offers to its students; the colour red symbolises passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration and the colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

COEP TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY The emblem of the COEP Technological University (COEPTU) has a shield which has been trisected and a motif is placed in each section. The motifs are a fort, a hand holding a hammer and an open book. The shield is surmounted by a banner with four folds which is inscribed with its motto  ‘Strength Truth Endurance Ethics Reverence’ and supported by another banner bearing the words ‘COEP Technological University’ and ‘Pune’. The shield symbolises protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the fort denotes the city of Pune; the hand holding hammer denotes engineering education and the open book symbolises knowledge, wisdom and education.

SYMBIOSIS UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences (SUAS) is a self-financed University established on the basis of the Government of Madhya Pradesh Gazette (extraordinary) No 2 of 2016 dated June 13, 2016, under provisions of the Madhya Pradesh Niji Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam, 2007. The red colour  emblem of SUAS is in the form of a gear wheel, supporting a circular border bearing its name and place that circumscribes the logo of the parent Symbiosis supported by its motto in Sanskrit ‘वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम्’meaning ‘The World is One Family’ and  a crossing hammer and spanner. The gear wheel signifies interconnectedness, efficiency and precision, progress and advancement, synchronisation and timing and order and structure; the hammer and spinner signifies, industry, industriousness, creation and problem solving. represents passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration.

COMMUNIST PARTY OF INDIA (MARXIST) The CPI(M) was formed at the Seventh Congress of the Communist Party of India held in Calcutta from October 31 to November 7, 1964. The CPI(M) was born in the struggle against revisionism and sectarianism in the communist movement at the international and national level, in order to defend the scientific and revolutionary tenets of Marxism-Leninism and its appropriate application in the concrete Indian conditions. The CPI(M) has grown steadily since its formation in 1964. Its election symbol is hammer, sickle and star representing agriculture, industry and dawn. This is taken from the erstwhile Soviet Communist Party. These motifs aptly symbolise the people it represents.
