SARDAR BHAGWAN SINGH UNIVERSITY Sardar Bhagwan Singh Post Graduate Institute of Biomedical Sciences and Research (SBSPGI), Balawala established in 1994, Dehradun (1994-2018) had been a pioneer institution in the field of Biomedical Sciences, not only in Uttarakhand but in the entire northern region. The institute was founded by Sardar Gurcharan Singh. The logo of the university is a light blue colour monogram of its acronym ‘SBS’ using serif condensed font with ‘B’ being in the middle and big.

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY PUDUCHERRY National Institute of Technology Puducherry (NITPY), nestled in the scenes of Karaikal, a coastal enclave in the basin of river Cauvery is one among the ten new NITs in the Union Territory of Puducherry. Fifty of seats reserved for the candidates having residence/native at Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe, Yanam and the remaining 50% seats are filled on all India basis. The predominantly blue colour circular emblem of NITPY has a shield in a circle having a book with one of famous Einstein's equations; a student with a trophy emerging from the book; a pair of laurels supporting these; a pair of flying birds symbolising freedom and discovery and waves of water supporting all these. The shield stands in the foreground of a glowing sun in blue colour with blue rays, symbolising openness and infinity. A white border separates this and the name of the institute written on the rim of this emblem. At the bottom of this assemblage,

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY UTTARAKHAND Established in 2009 under the Act of Parliament by the Ministry of Education, National Institute of Technology Uttarakhand (NITUK) is the technical education hub in the green and clean lap of the Himalayas, precisely located in the Land of the Gods (known as Dev Bhoomi), the state of Uttarakhand. Its logo in greyish blue and fresh green has an octagonal lotus in the centre, in which the picture of Ganga descending from Himalayas in the backdrop of a glowing sun is depicted. It is ensconced in a gearwheel. This is surrounded by a border on which the name of the institute is written in Hindi and English. At the bottom on a red banner, its motto in Sanskrit ‘अभ्यासध्यारयेतः विद्या’ meaning ‘Knowledge is Maintained Through Practice and Hardship’ is written.

UTTARAKHAND POLICE Uttarakhand Police came into existance when the state of Uttarakhand was formed on the  November 9, 2000 as the 27th State of India, when it was carved out of northern Uttar Pradesh. The emblem of the Uttarakahnd Police shows the emblem of Uttarakhand in color and in a slightly modified version. The arms show the same emblem in golden lining, placed on a shield per fess of red, light blue and dark blue. These are the colours of the Indian Armed Forces. EMBLEM OF UTTARAKHAND Uttarakhand is formerly known as Uttaranchal and is a State in the northern part of India. It is referred to as the Land of Gods since Hinduism’s many holy temples and cities found here. Known for its natural beauty and wealth of the Himalayas, the Bhabhar and the Terai, the State was carved out of the Himalayan and adjoining north-western districts of Uttar Pradesh on November 9, 2000, becoming the twenty seventh state of the Republic of India. It borders the Tibet Autonomous Region on the north, Nepal on the east and the Indian states of Uttar Pradesh to the south and Himachal Pradesh to the north west. In January 2007, the name of the state was officially changed from Uttaranchal to Uttarakhand. The provisional capital of Uttarakhand is Dehradun. The emblem of Uttarakhand shows a mountain ridge with a valley in base. In chief is the emblem of India and the blue wavy lines depicts its rivers.
