THE ENGLISH AND FOREIGN LANGUAGES UNIVERSITY The English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad, was founded in 1958 as the Central Institute of English (CIE). In addition to regular teacher training programmes, CIF set benchmarks through its various conferences, refresher courses and syllabus design ventures. It was therefore renamed the Central Institute of Foreign Languages (CIEFL) in 1972 with the addition of major foreign languages - German, Russian and French. In 1973, CIEFL was awarded the status of a deemed university. Two new campuses were set up in Shillong (1973) and Lucknow (1979) to cater for the needs of language practitioners in North East and the North. The Educational Media Research Centre (EMRC) was established at CIFL in 1984 with the objective of designing and telecasting programmes in different disciplines. (IEDUP), Lucknow is a premier Institute and Center of Excellence in the field of entrepreneurship promotion and Human Resource Development. IEDUP was established as the first state level institution for entrepreneurship development by the Government of U.P. with initial support of IDBI, IFCI, ICICI, SBI and PNB in 1986. It's emblem is a dancing peacock with its acronym duly adopted in. Its acronym is written at the bottom in an unique style. Its motto in Sanskrit 'उद्योगिना विकसेन् जनसम्रुद्धम्' meaning ‘The industrialist Developed the Humanity’ is written below the emblem.

INDIAN INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT LUCKNOW The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow is fourth in the prestigious IIM family of management schools to be established in India after IIM Calcutta, IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore. The Institute was established in 1984. With its foundation in the city of ‘Tehzeeb’, IIM Lucknow as well inculcates human values and professional ethics in the students to help them make a positive impact not just on the nation but on a global platform. IIML’s emblem is a projection of earth with the depiction in an abstract fashion with latitudes and longitudes in blue, green and gold colours has ‘IIM’ in serif italics with border and ‘LUCKNOW’ written in light orange colour. Below this on a black border its motto in Sanskrit ‘सुप्रभन्धे राष्ट्र समृद्धि‘ meaning ‘Better Management towards Better Nation’ is written. This logo is simple, direct and tells it what is its intention.

LALIT KALA AKADEMI

LALIT KALA AKADEMI To promote and propagate understanding of Indian art, both within and outside the country, the Government of India established Lalit Kala Akademi (National Akademi of Arts) at New Delhi in 1954. The Akademi has regional centres called Rashtriya Lalit Kala Kendras at Lucknow, Kolkata, Chennai, Garhi in New Delhi and Bhubaneswar with workshop facilities in painting, sculpture, print-making and ceramics. It has sub centres in Shimla, Ahmedabad, Agartala and Patna. Since its inception, the Akademi has been organising national exhibition of contemporary Indian art with 15 national awards,. Every three years, the Akademi also organises Triennial India, an international exhibition of contemporary art in New Delhi. The Akademi honours eminent artists and art historians every year by electing them as Fellows of the Akademi. UTTAR PRADESH MERO RAIL CORPORATION Uttar Pradesh Rail Corporation (UPMRC) is a joint venture company, which operates the Lucknow Metro and Kanpur Metro. The other metro projects like Agra Metro, Meerut Metro, Varanasi Metro, Allahabad Metro, Gorakhpur Metro and Jhansi Metro, in the State of Uttar Pradesh are also under the ambit of UPMRC. The Noida Metro is operated by Noida Metro Rail Corporation (MRC). LMRC was formed as a Special Purpose Vehicle by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in 2013 to build and operate Lucknow Metro. In 2017, the Lucknow Metro was inaugurated and opened to the public and in 2021, the Kanpur Metro was opened. Kanpur Metro was the fastest built and commissioned metro system in the world built in 24 months. Its emblem was designed by Pooja Yadav in brown using alphabet ‘M’, connectivity grid and historical Rumi Darwaza and the text below uses Gotham Bold and Gotham Book in grey.
