VASANTRAO NAIK MARATHWADA AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY The emblem of Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Agricultural University (VNMAU) has a motif of the entrance arch of Ellora Caves in yellow colour with its name written in Devanagari along the arch. Inside the arch in a circle with black outline the motifs a gear wheel; a four petalled flower, a cattle, tractor, crest of cereal and an open and a microscope are placed. These motifs represent agriculture and agricultural engineering. On the base of the arch in between two gear wheels its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलं हि जीवनम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of Life’ is inscribed.

GONDWANA UNIVERSITY The greenish emblem of Gondwana University (GU) has a green shield with a silver border houses the motifs of an archway representing architecture of the place, an open book, a pair of laurels, its name and place in Devanagari and its motto in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञाना देव तु कैवल्यम्’ meaning ‘Knowledge Alone Liberates’. Below the shield, on a yellow border the name of the university is write.The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the laurels denote ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication and the colour green denotes agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.

GUJARAT UNIVERSITY The emblem of Gujarat University (GU) has a dancing peacock and the sculptural architecture resting on two pillars and a lamp suspended from its centre. The dancing peacocks represent Goddess Learning Saraswati. The arch represents Gujarat's heritage; the two pillars symbolise its solid foundation. The lamp is a symbol of learning that dispels the darkness of ignorance and enlightens everything around it. The lightning at the top of the rectangle and the atomic circles below it symbolise the flash of genius and scientific progress. The name and motto of the university are written on a circular border in Devanagari. The motto in Sanskrit ‘योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्’ (Verse 50, Chapter 2, Bhagavad Gita) means ‘Yoga is Skill in Action’.

BABASAHEB BHIMRAO AMBEDKAR BIHAR UNIVERSITY The name of Bihar University was changed to Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University (BBABU) in 1992. Established in 1960. The emblem of the university is in brown colour, has the motifs of a rising sun, a pair of folded hands, a decorative arch of Mauryan era, a person sitting in a meditative posture and iconic art and architectural symbols of Bihar. At the bottom these are supported by a pair of swans and a lotus. Its name is written in the bottom half of the emblem and it is surmounted by its motto in Sanskrit ‘नास्ति विद्या समम् चक्षुः’ meaning ‘Knowledge is the Greatest Eye’. BABA GHULAM SHAH BADSHAH UNIVERSITY Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) has come into existence by an Act of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly called the Jammu & Kashmir Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Act No. XVI of 2002 and the same is recognised by the AICTE and UGC, New Delhi, under sections 2F and 12 B. The university is patronised by the Jammu & Kashmir Wakf Council. The motto of the university is ‘إقرا باسم ربك الذي خلق’ which means, ‘Read in the Name of God who has Created all that Exists’. The emblem of the university has a dome of a mosque in a blue arch holding the motifs of moon with rings around, Himalayan mountains, a test tube holding the DNA structure, a half gear, abortion of a tree and a water body. RK UNIVERSITY RK University (RKU) is a private university in Rajkot, Gujarat created on October 12, 2011. Founded in the year 2001, Shri Shamjibhai Harjibhai Talavia Charitable Trust (SHTCT) is the founder of RK University. The emblem of the university is a façade of a traditional entrance of a building with two grey colour pillars supporting a red arch or arc, below which its name is written in black. The two pillars of the grey colour façade symbolises the bridge to heaven from earth and pillar means strength, security of foundation and trustworthiness. Two pillared facades can convey goods and truths. The red colour arc symbolises the skies of Olympus and the heavenly Gods such as Zeus and Jupiter. The arch serves as a reminder of a universal truth that there is always another way, an open door. The name of the university is written below the façade. HPCL RAJASTHAN REFINERY LIMITED

HPCL RAJASTHAN REFINERY LIMITED HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Ltd. (HRRL) was incorporated on September 18, 2013, as a Joint Venture between Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and Government of Rajasthan (GOR) with an equity participation of 74% and 26% respectively. The project involves setting up of a Greenfield nine MMTPA refinery cum petrochemical complex at Pachpadra in Barmer district of Rajasthan. Its emblem is an adaptation of the logo of HPCL and the motifs of Rajasthan in red, blue and yellow ochre colours. The squircle border from the parent company is retained to show continuity and relationship, within a traditional arch of Rajasthan is placed supported by a motif of oil coming out from drilling. It has its acronym in blue and red colours supported by sun on sand dunes of Rajasthan. The name of the company is written in Devanagari and English at the bottom of the emblem.
