The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS or NUJS) is a National Law University located in Bidhannagar, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. The emblem of the university is in the form of a shield with black border line which has three horizontal divisions. The top one in red colour hosts an open book, the white middle one hosts the acronym of its name and the bottom blue one hosts a two-pan beam balance weighing scale. The shield signifies protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the open book signifies knowledge and wisdom and the scales are the traditional symbols of justice as wielded by statues of Lady Justice.
