THE GLOCAL UNIVERSITY
THE GLOCAL UNIVERSITY The GLocal University was established by the Glocal University Act, 2011 (UP Act no. 2 of 2012). The logo of the university has a pictorial and a word mark. The circular pictorial in tones of cyan has a ribbon starting from bottom right and transforming into a shining sun symbolises the evolution of the student from a common one to a shining sun. The colour blue represents the vast universe and global output from local minds. At its right the wordmark of the name of the university is written in black sans serif bold and thin font. Below this its motto ‘Shaping Global Minds’ is written on a grey band in white. The colour cyan, referred to as light blue or aqua, signifies clarity, freshness, spirituality, serenity, calmness, peace, tranquillity, trust, stability and reliability and it is used to convey a sense of professionalism and dependability; black signifies symbolises professionalism, practicality, power, elegance and strength and grey denotes ne
