PATLIPUTRA UNIVERSITY Patliputra University, Patna was founded on March 18, 2018, by the Government of Bihar through Letter/memo No. 15/M1-71/2016-700, dated April 9, 2018. All of the colleges in Patna and Nalanda districts of Bihar. The emblem of the university has a shield with bold red border housing the monogram of the acronym of its name on the background of the ruins of ancient Nalanda University with the lion Pillar of Mauryan era in the bottom foreground. At the bottom of the shield the university’s year of establishment is placed. On a blue banner, above the shield its motto in Sanskrit ‘योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्’ (Verse 50, Chapter 2, Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘Yoga is Skill in Action’ is inscribed.
