INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY HYDERABAD Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH) is a premier institute of science and technology established in 2008. Its logo is designed using tones of orange to yellow. The design philosophy of the logo is based on the two key words ‘Inventions and Innovations’, the foundation and vision of IIT Hyderabad. It is depicted using two ‘i’s with a common dot above them. These letters emanate outwards in either direction signifying expansion and growth of that knowledge. This reflects the core values of the institute where it fosters and facilitates in expanding one's intellectual ability, creativity, research and scientific discoveries. The identity is a symbolic representation of a person reading a book. This indicates imparting knowledge through quality education. 4 INFANTRY DIVISION The Indian 4th Infantry Division, also known as the Red Eagle  Division, is an infantry division of the Indian Army. The division was formed in Egypt in 1939 and was the first Indian formation to go overseas during the Second World War. As with all formations in the Indian Army prior to independence, it primarily had British officers and Indians in other ranks. However, it did include Indian officers with ranks as high as Captain or Major. During World War II, it took part in campaigns in East Africa (Eritrea and Sudan), Syria, North Africa and Italy. The Division is now a part of the Indian Army. Immediately after the war ended it was in Greece, but returned to India later in 1945. In 1947 the division became the nucleus of the Punjab Boundary Force under Major-General T.W. Rees, but is disbanded 1 September because of its ineffectiveness in controlling the riots breaking out in consequence of Partition. It had approximately 15 Indian and 10
