RAIGANJ UNIVERSITY Raiganj University was formed through the Raiganj University Act (West Bengal Act XXVI of 2014) on February 3, 2015. It is located in Raiganj, West Bengal. Its square emblem has a traditional Bengali lamp with flame in the middle of a square whose border is divided into four blocks. INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR POPULATION SCIENCES The International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai, known as the Demographic Training and Research Centre (DTRC) till 1970, was established in July 1956 under the joint sponsorship of Sir Dorabji Tata Trust, the Government of India and the United Nations. It was declared as a 'Deemed to be University' on August 14, 1985 by the Government of India.
