VEDIC YOG PEETH The Vedic Yog Peeth’s emblem has a black cobra ensconcing a person practising yoga supported by a lotus on a ocean with a background of rising sun and ‘ॐ’. Along the serpent on an orange banner its tagline in Sanskrit ‘योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्’ (Verse 50, Chapter 2, Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘Yoga is Skill in Action’ is written. At the bottom on a yellow and orange banner with golden borders and decorations, its name and certification are written. The lotus refers to purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the letter ॐ or Ohm is a symbol representing a sacred sound, syllable, mantra and an invocation; the encircling serpent is indicative of yoga and awakened Kundalini shakti; the yellow is the colour of happiness, energy, vitality, focus and creativity and orange symbolises energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness

ASSOCIATION OF HIMALAYAN YOGA MEDITATION SOCIETIES INTERNATIONAL  The blue colour insignia Association of Himalayan Yoga Meditation Societies International (AHYMSIN) has a pair of swans facing each other supported by a lotus. A woman with closed eyes crested by a glowing flame is placed above the swans. All these are ensconced by a cobra or serpent. Below the motifs its tagline in Sanskrit ‘योगः समाधिः’ and ‘Yoga is Samadhi’ are written. The lotus refers to beauty, prosperity, fertility, eternity and spirituality; the swans are considered sacred and are symbols of grace and beauty; the flame denotes enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power and the serpent denotes  healthcare, protection and wellbeing.

MAHATMA GANDHI INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES The pictorial motif of Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (MGIMS) has a picture of Mahatma examining through a microscope supported by a Staff of Hermes entwined by a pair of serpents. The Staff is crested by a banner on which its motto in Devanagari ‘सत्य-धर्म-प्रेम’ meaning ‘Truth-Righteousness-Love’ is written and supported by a banner on which ‘Sevagram’ is written. All these are ensconced by a circular decorative border, which carries the name of the institution.

PHARMACY COUNCIL OF INDIA The gold and blue circular seal of Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has a pair of intersecting serpents supporting an ampoule, tablets, a mortar and pestle and herbal leaves in the four counters. On either side of the motif is a Lion Capital of Ashoka placed. The serpents are ensconced by a blue circular border with gold, orange and blue outlines bears the name of the institution and its motto in Sanskrit ‘कामये दुःखतप्तानाम् प्रानिनामार्तिनाशनम्’(Srimad Bhagavatam, Mahabharatam) meaning ‘It is My Wish to be Able to Help in Alleviating the Suffering of People’. The serpents mean healthcare, protection and wellbeing; the gold colour symbolises power, prestige and achievement and the blue denotes serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

LALA RAM SWARUP INSTITUTE OF TB AND ALLIED SCIENCES The emblem of Lala Ram Swarup Institute of TB and Allied Sciences (LRS ITBAS) has a pair of lungs, between which a red two-barred cross with a pair of entwined serpents is placed. These motifs are ensconced by a circular border with black outlines, on which the name and place of the Institute is inscribed. The two-barred cross is the global symbol for the fight against tuberculosis and lung diseases.

NATIONAL BOARD OF EXAMINATIONS IN MEDICAL SCIENCES The circular emblem of National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has a staff with trident atop entwined by a pair of serpents and supported by an open book is ensconced in a blue circle. This has a white border with blue outline which bears the name of the institution in English and Devanagari. The staff symbolises represents the three aspects of consciousness - waking, dreaming and sleeping and it means the three gunas - satva, rajas and tamas; the serpents and the staff refers to medical education, profession and medicine; the open book denotes knowledge, examination, wisdom and learning and the colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

ATAL BIHARI VAJPAYEE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY The insignia of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU) has a circular seal supported by a blue banner bearing its motto in Sanskrit ‘आरोग्यमेव अटल अमृतम्’ meaning ‘Health is the Ultimate Nectar’. The emblem houses the motifs of the Staff of Caduceus or the Staff of Hermes with a pair of wings and entwined serpents supporting rising sun and supported by an open book at the bottom and a pair of fish on sides on a white circle. The circle is ensconced in a blue border which carries its name in English and Devanagari. The sun denotes life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the staff denotes medicine and medical profession; the fish represent the State of Uttar Pradesh and the open book denotes education, learning, knowledge and wisdom.

RAMAKRISHNA MISSION VIVEKANANDA EDUCATIONAL AND RESEARCH INSTITUTE The Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute (RKMVERI) is an initiative started by the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, the worldwide spiritual humanitarian organisation established by Swami Vivekanand. Established in 2005, RKMVERI is an institution deemed to be university. ARMED FORCES MEDICAL COLLEGE Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC)  is a premier medical institute of India acknowledged as a centre of excellence for education and research. The college provides training to under-graduate and post-graduate medical and nursing students with assured career prospects in the defence services. The institute was set up on 01 May 1948 by an act of parliament of India on the recommendations of the BC Roy Committee by the amalgamation of various defence medical organizations. The ‘Graduate Wing’ of AFMC was established on  August 04, 1962 to provide a sustainable and steady intake of medical officers for the Indian Armed Forces.
