THE MAHARAJA BHUPINDER SINGH PUNJAB SPORTS UNIVERSITY The Maharaja Bhupinder Singh Punjab Sports University, Patiala (MBSPSU) has been established vide Notification on August 29, 2019 under the Punjab Act No. 11 of 2019. The  UGC accorded recognition to the University under section 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956 on September 9, 2019 started functioning from September 16, 2019 from the premises of Professor Gursewak Singh Government College of Physical Education, Patiala. The university has been granted membership of Association of Indian Universities (AIU) from April 1, 2020 and placed in the North Zone. It has three constituent and five affiliated colleges offering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in physical education and sports, sports science, yoga, physical fitness and health science. The university has established a State Training Center (STC) in polo and equestrian at Patiala and is setting up STCs for boxing, fencing and basketball. A new campus is under construc

TRAINING COMMAND Prior to 1939, there was hardly any training carried out in India either of pilots or ground engineers, there was no organisation at Air HQ level for this purpose. However, when it became impossible to send Indians to the UK for training due to war, it was decided to create training facilities in the country itself. To cater to the expansion of the IAF, a target of 300 pilots and 3000 technical personnel was fixed. To cope with such a large training commitment, a Directorate of Training was formed in Air HQ. A Recruits Training Centre (for discipline, drill, etc.) and a non-technical training centre was formed at Lahore. No.1 Technical School at Ambala provided technical training. NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNICAL TEACHERS TRAINING AND RESEARCH, CHENNAI National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR) Chennai was established as an autonomous institute by the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India in the year 1964 to improve the quality of technical education system in India and in the southern region in particular. Within this mandate, the institute takes initiatives to offer need based human resource development programmes through appropriate modes and develop curricula and instructional resources. Its emblem has an indigo coloured shield with three lamps supported by three white lines. Below this a rocket, a teacher with ‘TECHNICAL TEACHER TRAINING’ written on a board and computer with antenna receiver are placed. On the right corner of the shield its acronym ‘NITTTR Chennai’ is written. Below the shield on a brown banner ‘PROMOTING EXCELLENCE IN TECHNICAL EDUCATION’ is written in white.

TRAINING COMMAND The philosophy of Indian Army’s Training Command  is “No soldier or officer should ever lose his life or limb in combat, because he was inadequately trained”. The aim of the Command is to maximize effectiveness of training and establish a dedicated organization for formulating concepts and doctrines, which are specifically applicable to our operational environment. The requirement was to be met by the establishment of a centralized, independent and high-powered organization, with the requisite infrastructure and resources to meet all aspects of concepts and doctrine development, training policies and institutional training. The Army Training Command (ARTRAC ) came into being on October 1, 1991 at Mhow in Madhya Pradesh. It subsequently shifted to Shimla on  March 31, 1993.
