BENGALURU INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL The emblem of Bengaluru International Film Festival (BIFFES) is the mythical twin headed bird of ‘Gandaberunda’ in earthy red with golden wings and decorative ornaments. The name of the film festival is written in Kannada and English on the right in red and black. The mythical bird is adapted from the erstwhile kingdom of Mysore and it is coloured red and gold with ornaments to celebrate, entertain and the star studded glitter of the event. The logo is interesting, attractive and inviting, while espousing that it is from the State of Karnataka.

KUVEMPU UNIVERSITY

KUVEMPU UNIVERSITY The seal of Kuvempu University (KU) is  held by a pair of hands with its motif of Gandaberunda in a circle and ensconced by a circular border carrying the motto of the university in Kannada ‘ಮನುಜಮತ, ವಿಶ್ವಪಥ, ಸರ್ವೋದಯ, ಪೂರ್ಣದೃಷ್ಟಿ’ meaning ‘Manujamata, Vishvapatha, Sarvodaya Purnadrishti’. The banners at the bottom carry the name of the university in Kannada and English. The Gandaberunda is taken from the State Emblem of Karnataka to give unique native orientation to the emblem.

MAHARANI CLUSTER UNIVERSITY The blue, gold and green circular seal of Maharani Cluster University (MCU) has the motif of Gandaberunda adapted from the state emblem of the Government of Karnataka, supporting an open book with a backdrop of a tree and its name, place and motto written in Kannada. These are ensconced by a blue border with gold outlines inscribed with its name and motto. The motto in Kannada ‘ಜ್ಞಾನ ಗುಣ ಸಾಗರ’ means ‘Ocean of Knowledge and Virtue’. The book refers to knowledge, learning, education and wisdom; the tree symbolises strength, individuality, expression, calmness, growth, the interconnectedness of everything and perpetuity; the colour green denotes  agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth and the colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

AMBEDKAR SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS UNIVERSITY Bengaluru Dr. B R Ambedkar School of Economics University (BASE) was formed to fulfil the need of an eminent institution in the field of economics. The Government of Karnataka constituted a committee headed by S. V. Ranganath on whose recommendation, the establishment of the School of Economics was approved. It became a Unitary University under The Government of Karnataka in the field of Economics and Social Sciences vide notification no. ED 41 UBV 2018(P-2) dated October 30, 2019. The emblem of the university has a golden shield on a blue background carrying the motifs of gandaberunda, which is taken from the Government of Karnataka insignia and the endless mystical knot from one of the eight Buddhist symbols. BENGALURU TECH SUMMIT

BENGALURU TECH SUMMIT Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) wass organised by the Department of Electronics, Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science and Technology, Government of Karnataka to be held from Nov 29 - Dec 1, 2023 at Bangalore Palace. Its logo has the state emblem ‘gandaberunda’, the state emblem and a digital wall in tones of blue and purple with the name of the summit in English and Kannada.

MAHAJANA EDUCATION SOCIETY Incepted in the year 1937 to provide education to children, the great freedom fighters of Mysore of that time namely Sarvasri. Ramachandra Jois, M. N. Jois, G. Ranganna, H. Anantharao, Agaram Suryanarayana Pandit and other well-wishers led by Sri. Ambale Subramanya Iyer laid the foundation to Mahajana High School in Lakshmipuram, in Mysore, which finally led to the present Mahajana Education Society over the decades. The school which started with 17 students, for want of space was shifted to Jayalakshmipuram, Mysuru, as the number of students seeking admissions increased. KARNATAKA SOAPS AND DETERGENTS LIMITED Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited (KSDL) is an Indian company, owned by the Government of Karnataka, that manufacturers personal care products including Mysore Sandal Soap. The Government Sandalwood Oil factory was established by the Maharaja of Mysore Nalwadi Krishna Raja Wodeyar and Diwan Sir M. Vishweshwaraiah in the year 1916 at Mysore, to extract sandalwood oil from sandalwood. The high quality sandalwood oil with British Pharmacopoeia was introduced to the world by the Government Soap Factory, Mysore. With the idea of utilizing the available natural sandalwood oil for making soap in the home State of Mysore. Sri S.G. Shastri, who was a qualified industrial chemist, was sent to London for an advanced training on soap and perfumery technology. Sri S.G.
