INDIAN SUPER LEAGUE The Indian Super League (ISL) is India’s unrivalled football championship which kicked off on October 12, 2014. The inaugural winners of the league were ATK FC, while Chennaiyin FC were the winners of the second season. The league is co-promoted by Reliance, Star India and supported by the All India Football Federation (AIFF). India’s leading industrialists and celebrities from sports as well as the Indian film industry have heavily invested in the league’s eleven franchises based in the following cities: Chennai, Bhubaneswar, Goa, Guwahati, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Jamshedpur. NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF DESIGN In 1957 the Government of India requested the Ford Foundation to invite Charles and Ray Eames to visit India. Charles and Ray Eames travelled to all parts of the country, meeting and talking to writers, craftspeople, architects, scientists, industrialists, educators and philosophers. On April 7, 1958, the Eameses presented the India Report to the Government of India. Based on the recommendations made in the India Report, the Government of India with the assistance of the Ford Foundation and the Sarabhai family established the National Institute of Industrial Design, as it was originally called as an autonomous all-India body in September 1961 at Ahmedabad. Today the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, has grown into a multi-campus institute with campuses at Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and Bengaluru and has been declared an Institution of National Importance by the Act of Parliament. BRUHAT BENGALURU MAHANAGARA PALIKE  Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is the administrative body that is responsible for all civic amenities and some infrastructural assets of the Greater Bengaluru metropolitan area. BBMP is one of the largest municipal corporation in India and its responsibilities include zoning and building regulations, health, hygiene, licensing, trade and education. It also looks at quality-of-life issues such as public open spaces, water bodies, parks and greenery. The idea of creating a logo was mooted by the Bengaluru Tourism Advisory Committee. The Department Tourism of Karnataka crowdsourced the logo where people from National Institute of Design, National Institute of Fashion Technology, Chitrakala Parishat, Srishti School of Design and several others took part. BANGALORE METRO RAIL CORPORATION LIMITED Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), a joint venture of Government of India and Government of Karnataka is a Special Purpose Vehicle entrusted with the responsibility of implementation of Bangalore Metro Rail Project. The logo was designed by Jayanth Jain and Mahendra Kumar of A Brand New Story. The emblem in purple with green dots, depict a rangoli which graces the front yards of houses, which is a part of Bengaluru’s culture. Its never-ending loop signifies ‘infinite’ coverage of metro lines. The tagline ‘namma metro’ in green is a friendly phrase used by Kannadigas.

KEMPEGOWDA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru (BLR Airport), named after founder of the City - Hiriya Kempegowda - is the first Greenfield Airport in India, established on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. Its logo has got an emblem consisting of petals from the flowers three plants found in Bangalore - Jacaranda (Jacaranda mimosifolia) – greenish blue, Gulmohur (Delonix regia) - Orange and the Copper Pod (Peltophorum pterocarpum) – yellow. Below this is its name ‘Kempegowda’ written in greenish blue and below that is ‘International Airport, Bengaluru’ in black. The logo was designed by Ray and Keshavan of the Brand Union.
