RAJIV GANDHI PROUDYOGIKI VISHWAVIDYALAYA Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) was established in the year 1998, by Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Act 13, 1998. Falcon, the mascot of RGPV, holding a scroll of a diploma certificate in its beak, portrays the engineers graduating from RGPV, with their infinite capabilities and specialised skills. The falcon holding a pen in one of its claws, symbolises the power of expression. Its armour is the manifestation of modern technology. Equipped with comprehensive knowledge and professional abilities, an engineer graduating from RGPV shall soar above and govern the universe with wisdom and creative ability. The paddy grasped by the other claw represents the productivity and consequent prosperity resulting from the efforts of the graduates in their profession. Its motto in Sanskrit ‘प्रज्ञानं ब्रह्म’ meaning ‘Wisdom is the Brahman’ is  inscribed on a red banner below the emblem.

THE RAJIV GANDHI NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF LAW The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab, was established by the State Legislature of Punjab by passing the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab Act, 2006 (Punjab Act No. 12 of 2006). The Act incorporated a university of law of national stature in Punjab, to fulfil the need for a centre of excellence in legal education. RGNUL started functioning from its Headquarters in Mohindra Kothi, The Mall, Patiala from May 26, 2006. The university acquired approval of the Bar Council of India (BCI) in July 2006 and got registered with the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi under Section 2(f) of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. RGNUL operated from heritage buildings of the erstwhile Patiala State, Mohindra Kothi from 2006 to 2013. SOUTH ZONE CULTURAL CENTRE

South Zone Cultural Centre SOUTH ZONE CULTURAL CENTRE  (SZCC) is one of the seven Cultural Centers in the country and was established in 1986, at Tiruvaiyaru in Thanjavur district. The center was later shifted to Thanjavur town. Its main operational areas include the states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu and union territories of Pondicherry, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep. The center is dedicated to the promotion of fine arts, dance, drama, music, theater and crafts related forms. It also promotes and preserves the art forms by improving opportunities for the artists, documenting dying art forms and ensuring the participation of the youth in cultural activities. SOUTH CENTRAL ZONE CULTURAL CENTRE

The South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC) SOUTH CENTRAL ZONE CULTURALCENTRE , Nagpur one of the seven zonal cultural centres in India was  established  in  1986  with  its  headquarters  at  Nagpur.  It comprises the linguistically different states of Andhra Pradesh,  Karnataka,  Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.  Each of these States has rich traditions of folk, tribal, fine arts and crafts. The Centre strives through its various activities to enrich, promote and strengthen these traditions. The Centre is working under the control of Ministry of  Culture, Government of India.  His Excellency, the Governor of Maharashtra is the Chairman of this Centre. NORTH EAST ZONE CULTURAL CENTRE

NORTH EAST ZONE CULTURAL CENTRE The zonal cultural centre of the northeast India, North East Zone Cultural Centre  (NEZCC) is registered under the Nagaland Societies Registration Act XXI 1860 (Nagaland First Amendment) Act, 1969 was set up in June 1986 with its headquarters at Dimapur, Nagaland. The eight North Eastern States, viz., Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura are the constituent States of the this Centre. The NEZCC started functioning with the formal inauguration of the Centre by Late Rajiv Gandhi, the then Prime Minister of India on October 06,1987. The NEZCC has also established its Shilpgram (Crafts Village), at Panjabari. Its logo has seven  round cornered overlapping oblongs symbolising seven states with black border of which, one in the centre is filled with light blue colour. NORTH CENTRAL ZONE CULTURAL CENTRE North Central Zone Cultural Centre  (NCZCC) is one of the seven Zonal Cultural Centres establishment in the country on the initiative of the then Ministry of Human Resource Development , Government of India when it first announced in 1985 to set up a zonal cultural centres for the Northern Zone at Patiala (Punjab) and thereafter another zonal cultural centre for the eastern region at Shantinekatan (West Bengal ). In the same sequence, NCZCC was established as a Society registered under the Societies Registration -1860 on March 03,1986 with its registered office at Allahabad. Its motive to preserve, innovate and promote the projection and dissemination of the arts of the Zone comprising the States of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttranchal and Delhi falling under the broad disciplines of Sangeet, Natak, Lalit Kala and Sahitya. NORTH ZONE CULTURAL CENTRE The North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC) is located in Sheesh Mahal, Patiala. Patiala is the city of gardens and universities. The then Prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi inaugurated the North Zone Cultural Centre on November 6, 1985. The Centre has been registered under the registration of Societies Act 1860. The NZCC is one of the seven cultural centers `established in the country to strengthen the ancient roots of Indian culture and evolve and enrich composite national culture. The centre comprises regions from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttrakhand, Rajasthan and Union Teritory Chandigarh. RAJIV GANDHI CENTRE FOR BIOTECHNOLOGY The Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB) is located in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala, RGCB began in 1990 as a charitable society called the Centre for Development of Education, Science and Technology (C-DEST). In 1991, recognizing its potential, the C-DEST was made a ‘Grant-in-Aid’ institute of the Government of Kerala and renamed as Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Development of Education, Science and Technology (RGC-DEST), becoming the first institute in the country to be named after Sri Rajiv Gandhi. On April 18, 1994 the Government of Kerala restructured the institute into a comprehensive biotechnology centre and it became Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology. The institute was first managed by the Government of Kerala's Committee for Science and Technology and Environment (STEC) and subsequently by the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment. Its logo has a pair of twinning green to orange strokes symboliz
