SHIVA PRIYA YOGA ASHRAM The insignia of Shiva Priya Yoga Ashram in greenish blue tones has ॐ supported by snow clad mountains and ensconced by a causal circle with birds flying out. Below the motif, its name is written in a script typeface simulating brush strokes. The ॐ or Ohm is a symbol representing a sacred sound, syllable, mantra and an invocation and the colour orange symbolises energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness; the mountains refers to perpetuity, strength and desired targets; the birds refer to the freedom and enlightenment, which is the outcome of practising and mastering yoga and the colour greenish blue symbolises peace, calmness and harmony.

SIKKIM CO-OPERATIVE MILK PRODUCERS’ UNION LIMITED The light blue colour circular insignia of Sikkim Co-operative Milk Producers’ Union Limited (SCMPUL) has three mountain peaks with the highest peak holding a drop of milk. The mountains and peaks represent the mountains of the State and the milk drop represents the produce of the Union. Below the motif ‘Sikkim Milk’ is written. These are ensconced by a blue circular border. The colour light blue represents tranquillity, peace, health, healing, acceptance, truth, serenity, trustworthiness, reliability, wisdom, creativity, spirituality and softness.

DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM, GOVERNMENT OF MIZORAM The circular emblem with thick blue outline of Department of Tourism, Government of Mizoram (DTGM) ensconces a beautiful scenery of the State of Mizoram with a range of mountains. overwritten with its name in green as a word mark 'Mystical Mizoram' and its tagline in red ‘A Paradise for Everyone’. The word mark has the letter ‘M’ depicted as mountains referring to the scenic geography of the State. The logo is interesting and functional.

NATIONAL CENTRE FOR POLAR AND OCEAN RESEARCH The emblem of National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research (NCPOR) has motifs of an iceberg above and below the polar oceans, mountains, seismic activities in the ocean, its acronym placed inside a circle with blue outline. This circle is ensconced by a white border with thick blue outline on which its name is inscribed in Devanagari and English. The tones of blue used in the emblem represent ice, water and polar regions.

ICAR-VIVEKANANDA PARVATIYA KRISHI ANUSANDHAN SANSTHAN The green colour emblem of ICAR-Vivekananda Parvatiya Krishi Anusandhan Sansthan (VPKAS) has a green circle holding the motifs of mountains and a traditional lamp. This is circumscribed with a border, on which its name and place are written in Devanagari and English. The seal is supported by a pair of laurels on sides and surmounted by its acronym in Devanagari and supported by its acronym in English at the bottom. Below these motifs, on a banner, its motto is inscribed on a banner in Sanskrit ‘ऋतस्य शुरुध: पूर्वी :सन्ति’. DEV SANSKRITI VISHWAVIDYALAYA The emblem of the Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya (DSVV) has a hand holding a torch supported by multitude of students and teachers placed over a globe of earth, which is ensconced by a sun with glowing rays. These are supported by the motif of Himalayan Mountain range, below which waters of the river flow from the mountains. KUMAUN UNIVERSITY The insignia of Kumaun University (KU) has a circle housing the motifs of Kumaun Mountains and its valley supported by an open book and its year of establishment. The mountain range represents the regional geography and the open book denotes education, knowledge, learning and wisdom. The colour blue denotes serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty. The dark blue circular border ensconces the circular motif and is inscribed with its name in Devanagari and its motto in Sanskrit ‘सर्व ज्ञाने परिसमाप्यते’ (Shloka 33, Chapter 4, Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘Everything Culminate in Knowledge’.

ASIAN INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY Asian International University (AIU) is established under the Act 05 of 2021 made and promulgated on February 20, 2021 by the Governor of Manipur. The blue and orange emblem of the university has mountains with sun placed in a glowing circle held by a pair of hands. These are ensconced by an orange circle. The encircling white border has its name and place written on it. The outer edges of the border have orange and blue decorative lines. The mountain with glowing sun symbolises the State of Manipur and the hands are symbolically holding the Manipur. The traditional lamps placed between the name and place represent light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity. 

BIRSA AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY

BIRSA AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY Birsa Agricultural University (BAU) was established on June 26, 1981. The emblem of the university has an open book with the images of a village with cattle on a background of mountains with rising sun, tractor and its motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya,1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘From Darkness Lead me to Light’ are ensconced in a circular border which carries its name in Devanagari and English. The border is surmounted by a portion of a gear wheel and supported by its year of establishment and a pair of laurels of grain heads. The open book symbolises knowledge, wisdom and education; the rising sun denotes light, universal prosperity and path for growth; the other motifs are representing the geography of the land and the laurels represent agriculture, food, ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.

HIMALAYAN UNIVERSITY

HIMALAYAN UNIVERSITY Himalayan University (HU) has been established by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh as per Section 2(f) of UGC Act 1956 Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. The emblem of the university has a blue and white mountain with the yellow rays of a rising sun in the background. This is placed in a circle with orange borderlines. These are ensconced by a black circular borderline, in which its name is written. The bottom half of the border has an orange banner on which ‘University’ is written with stars supporting at each end. Below these, its motto ‘Where Your Future Comes First’ is written. The motifs of mountains and sun rays depict the geography of the land and the colour orange symbolises energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness.

RANCHI UNIVERSITY Ranchi University came into existence on July 12, 1960 as an autonomous institution as it was carved out of erstwhile Bihar University. It underwent tetra-furcation with creation of Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribag (1992), Nilambar Pitambar University, Medini Nagar (2009), Kolhan University, Chaibasa (2009) and Dr Shyama Prasad Mukharjee University, Ranchi (2019). The emblem of the university has an open book, which carries the motifs of mountains and river; laboratory equipment for physics; a hand holding a ring and forest of trees on its pages. These are ensconced in a blue circle. SAURASHTRA UNIVERSITY Saurashtra University, established on May 23, 1967, is situated in Rajkot city of the Saurashtra region of Gujarat State. The emblem of the university has a lion sitting in front of a mountain range with rising sun accompanied by a veena, an open book and a space shuttle. All these are ensconced by a brown circle with floral design patterns, which carries the university’s motto in Sanskrit ‘पावका नः सरस्वती’ meaning ‘Goddess Saraswati, who Nourishes and Sanctifies’ and its name. The lion, the mountains and the rising sun represents the geography of the location of the university. The veena symbolises gyana and when the veena is played and the musical notes are produced, it is as though knowledge is radiating out in all directions. DECCAN COLLEGE, POSTGRADUATE AND RESEARCH INSTITUTE The Deccan College, Postgraduate and Research Institute (DCPRI), Pune is the third oldest educational Institute in India. The Hindoo College was started on October 6, 1821 by the Bombay Presidency Government at the initiative of its Governor, Mountstuart Elphinstone by using the Dakshina Fund, which was started by Khanderao Dabhade, a Maratha Sardar and continued by the Peshwas for propagating Sanskrit studies. It was renamed as the Poona College on June 7, 1851 and later as the Deccan College in October 1864. It was reopened on August 17, 1939 as Deccan College. UTTAR BANGA KRISHI VISWAVIDYALAYA Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya (UBKV) is a State agricultural university in Pundibari about eleven kilometres North-West of Cooch Behar, West Bengal, India. It was established in 2001 by an Act of the West Bengal legislature. The emblem of the university is in the tones of violet and in the shape of a lanceolate or semi ellipse, with a border bearing its name. It has been divided into three vertical parts. MIZORAM RURAL BANK Mizoram Rural Bank (MRB) is a Regional Rural Bank in Mizoram sponsored by State Bank of Indiaand owned by the Ministry of Finance , Government of India. It was established on September 27, 1983. The blue colour emblem of MRB has the letter ‘M’ depicted as a mountain and is placed within an oval. Mount Himalayas form the geography of the State and is an appropriate choice for use in the logo.
