MANIPUR UNIVERSITY OF CULTURE

MANIPUR UNIVERSITY OF CULTURE The Manipur University of Culture (MUC) was established in 2015 by the Government of Manipur through the Manipur University of Culture Bill, 2015. The university started its academic sessions from September 20, 2016. Currently it offers graduate courses in  dance, music, sankirtana, Umang Lai Haraoba, Thang-Ta, theatre, tribal studies and visual arts and it has plans to offer postgraduate and doctoral programmes in the coming years. The university’s emblem has eight intersecting leaf-like ovals forming the base for a circular seal carrying its name and motif.

BIRSA MUNDA TRIBAL UNIVERSITY

BIRSA MUNDA TRIBAL UNIVERSITY Birsa Munda Tribal University was established by Tribal Development Department, Government of Gujarat, Gandhinagar in April 2017 and was formally started in October 2017 at Narmada. The university's emblem features a bow and arrow with a pen nib as its tip and flower petals as its wings, supported by a flower, all enclosed in a circle. The circle is topped by eight pairs of green leaves and supported by a gear, with four parallel green circular lines completing the circle. The name and place of the university is written in Devanagari above the emblem. Its motto in Sanskrit, ‘गरीयासि पुन्यारण्य संस्कृतिः’, meaning ‘You are the Greatest Holy Forest Culture’, is placed at the bottom. PURNEA UNIVERSITY

PURNEA UNIVERSITY Purnea University, Purnia was carved out of Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University, Madhepura on March 18, 2018 by an act of Bihar Assembly. The circular emblem of the university has a lotus leaf supporting an open book, a lotus and a rising sun crested by three motifs of humans. These have been circumscribed by its name in Devanagari and English divided by a pair of fish. Below the lotus leaf its motto in Sanskrit ‘ऋते ज्ञानान्न मुक्तिः’ meaning ‘Without Knowledge No Liberation’ and its year of formation is written. All these are ensconced by two thick outlines of grey and gold. The lotus leaf symbolises non attachment and neutrality; the open book denotes education, knowledge and wisdom; the lotus means purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the rising sun symbolises illumination, life, energy, power, positivity and clarity; and the humans denote the stakeholders of the university and
