I NTERNATIONAL CENTER FOR YOGA EDUCATION AND RESEARCH The circular emblem of International Center For Yoga Education And Research (ICYER) with a yellow circular border and green outlines houses the motifs of a lion with a trident and pair of lotuses on its tail, ensconced by the letter ‘ஓம்’ in orange. The border is inscribed with its name and place. The lion refers to power, strength, courage and sovereignty; the trident denotes creation, preservation and destruction; the twin lotuses denote purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty and the letter ஓம் or Ohm is a symbol representing a sacred sound, syllable, mantra and an invocation.

CHENNAI SINGAMS The insignia of the ISPL team Chennai Singams is a a roaring lion placed in a blue shield with an orangish border and crested by its name written in cinematic and telescopic fashion in white on blue. The roaring lion refers to the strength and valour of the team with radiating vigour. The shield symbolises protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the lion symbolises courage, strength, excellence and resilience in the face of challenges; the colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty and the orange symbolises energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness.

BIHAR STATE TOURISM DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION The Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation (BSTDC) has the lion motif on a pillar of Sarnath of Ashoka period placed above the map of Bihar as its emblem. This pictorial conveys the historical significance and cultural heritage of the State in gold and brown tones. The acronym of its name is written below the pictorial. The emblem is impressive and meaningful.

(GTDC) in orangish tones has the motif of a lion supported by an elaborate textile border design. Its name is written at the bottom of the motif. KAMDHENU UNIVERSITY The emblem of Kamdhenu University (KU) in orange and blue has water, earth and sky, three of five elements of nature are depicted by motifs of  fish, cow and bird. The can of milk denotes dairy and mechanisation, cattle farming; the open book denotes knowledge;  the dark blue cross symbolises veterinary sciences and profession; while K and U - represents Kamdhenu University. 'K' is depicted as an arrow pointing to the goals and ‘U’ as a test tube denotes scientific research. Two majestic Asiatic lions of Gujarat signifies courage. SAURASHTRA UNIVERSITY Saurashtra University, established on May 23, 1967, is situated in Rajkot city of the Saurashtra region of Gujarat State. The emblem of the university has a lion sitting in front of a mountain range with rising sun accompanied by a veena, an open book and a space shuttle. All these are ensconced by a brown circle with floral design patterns, which carries the university’s motto in Sanskrit ‘पावका नः सरस्वती’ meaning ‘Goddess Saraswati, who Nourishes and Sanctifies’ and its name. The lion, the mountains and the rising sun represents the geography of the location of the university. The veena symbolises gyana and when the veena is played and the musical notes are produced, it is as though knowledge is radiating out in all directions. SWAMINARAYAN UNIVERSITY Swaminarayan University was sponsored by Shree Swaminarayan Vishvamangal Gurukul Trust, Kalol and became functional with the assumption of charge by the first vice chancellor on May 20, 2022. The insignia of the university yellow, red and purple colours has a shield support by a lion on each side, crested by a mortarboard hat and erected on a curved banner bearing its name. Its motto in Sanskrit ‘सर्व विद्या अधिपतये’ meaning ‘O Lord of All Knowledge’ is placed at the bottom. TILAK MAHARASHTRA VIDYAPEETH The Maharashtra Provincial Conference on May 6, 1921 under the presidentship of Shrimat Shankaracharya of Karveer Peeth decided to have a national university in Maharashtra and the Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth (TMV) was established. The emblem of the university has a portrait of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak ensconced by a yellow border bearing the name of the university and its place. These are further supported by a pair of lions on either side and by a banner bearing its motto in Sanskrit ‘विद्या बोधकरी यशःसुखकरी विद्या गुरुणाम गुरुः’ meaning ‘Knowledge Enlightens, Fame brings Happiness and Knowledge is the Teacher of the Teachers’ at the bottom.
