INDIAN INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT LUCKNOW The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow is fourth in the prestigious IIM family of management schools to be established in India after IIM Calcutta, IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore. The Institute was established in 1984. With its foundation in the city of ‘Tehzeeb’, IIM Lucknow as well inculcates human values and professional ethics in the students to help them make a positive impact not just on the nation but on a global platform. IIML’s emblem is a projection of earth with the depiction in an abstract fashion with latitudes and longitudes in blue, green and gold colours has ‘IIM’ in serif italics with border and ‘LUCKNOW’ written in light orange colour. Below this on a black border its motto in Sanskrit ‘सुप्रभन्धे राष्ट्र समृद्धि‘ meaning ‘Better Management towards Better Nation’ is written. This logo is simple, direct and tells it what is its intention.

SMART CITY MISSION Smart City Mission was launched by the Hon’ Prime Minister on June 25, 2015. The main objective of the mission is to promote cities that provide core infrastructure, clean and sustainable environment and give a decent quality of life to their citizens through the application of ‘smart solutions’. The mission aims to drive economic growth and improve quality of life through comprehensive work on social, economic, physical and institutional pillars of the city. The pictorial emblem of this mission is a butterfly, transforming itself from a grey and dull colour to the bright and vibrant colours. The transformation is shown by the pixelation of the picture and the letter 'i'. This also uses the colours of the national flag - orange and green. The name and tagline ‘Mission Transform Nation’ is written below. The elements of the logo are aligned to the right to give a forward and upward looking visual momentum.

NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME National Service Scheme (NSS) is an initiative of the Central Government (Ministry of Youth & Sports Affairs), the National Service Scheme (NSS) aims to provide hands-on experience to young students in delivering community service. It provides student youths of 11th and 12th standards and technical institutions, graduate and postgraduate colleges and university level with an opportunity to take part in various government led community service activities and programmes. The Logo for NSS is a pictorial mark logo consisting of a picture. It also comprises several avatars like graphical elements in the middle surrounded by the typographic ‘National Service Scheme’ in Devanagari script as well. The red colour indicates that the volunteer is full of young blood that is lively, active, energetic and full of high spirits. The motto of NSS ‘Not Me But You’, reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for selfless service. NSS
