KUVEMPU UNIVERSITY

KUVEMPU UNIVERSITY The seal of Kuvempu University (KU) is  held by a pair of hands with its motif of Gandaberunda in a circle and ensconced by a circular border carrying the motto of the university in Kannada ‘ಮನುಜಮತ, ವಿಶ್ವಪಥ, ಸರ್ವೋದಯ, ಪೂರ್ಣದೃಷ್ಟಿ’ meaning ‘Manujamata, Vishvapatha, Sarvodaya Purnadrishti’. The banners at the bottom carry the name of the university in Kannada and English. The Gandaberunda is taken from the State Emblem of Karnataka to give unique native orientation to the emblem.

KANNADA UNIVERSITY

KANNADA UNIVERSITY The emblem of Kannada University (KU) is based on the head part of the Halmidi inscription from the year 540 AD  is meaningful and therefore is adopted by the university as its motif. The motto of the university in Kannada ‘ಮಾತೆಂಬುದು ಜ್ಯೋತಿರ್ಲಿಂಗ’ (Vachana, Allamaprabhu) meaning ‘The Word is Jyotirlinga’ is inscribed on a banner at the bottom of the seal, which is inspired from the Harappan culture.

KAMDHENU UNIVERSITY

KAMDHENU UNIVERSITY The emblem of Kamdhenu University (KU) in orange and blue has water, earth and sky, three of five elements of nature are depicted by motifs of  fish, cow and bird. The can of milk denotes dairy and mechanisation, cattle farming; the open book denotes knowledge;  the dark blue cross symbolises veterinary sciences and profession; while K and U - represents Kamdhenu University. 'K' is depicted as an arrow pointing to the goals and ‘U’ as a test tube denotes scientific research. Two majestic Asiatic lions of Gujarat signifies courage. The octagonal background ensconcing logo is the symbol of Goddess Laxmi. Its motto in Sanskrit written at the bottom in Sanskrit ‘सर्वभूतहितेरता:’ (Verse 25, Chapter 5, Bhagavad Gita) means ‘Striving for Welfare of All Living Beings’.

KARNAVATI UNIVERSITY

KARNAVATI UNIVERSITY The yellow, orange and red emblem of Karnavati University (KU) has a peacock with its wings spread and its ocelli forming the backdrop. Its name is written in serif typeface below the motif. The peacock denotes strength and power and its feathers symbolise immortality and immunity to evil; the colour red symbolises passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration; orange symbolises energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness and yellow symbolises happiness, energy, vitality, focus and creativity. Overall, the emblem is simple, attractive and elegant.

KALINGA UNIVERSITY

KALINGA UNIVERSITY The ensign of Kalinga University (KU) in Raipur has an eagle with wings spread crests, a shield on which the boat and an open book are placed. The shield is supported by a pair of laurels on its sides and a banner at the bottom. The banner is inscribed with the name of the university. On the chest of the bird a multi coloured triangle is placed. The eagle symbolises victory, safety, justice, righteousness and higher perspective; the triangle symbolises the diversity in the backgrounds of the students; the shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the open book denotes education, learning, knowledge and wisdom; the laurels represent are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication and the colour yellow ochre symbolises optimism, eternal and indestructible. 

KANYASHREE UNIVERSITY

KANYASHREE UNIVERSITY The emblem of Kanyashree University (KU) has the motif of a girl as in the Kanyashree scheme surmounting an open book and supported on both sides by laurels. Above these motifs the name of the university is placed and below the year of establishment is written. All these are held by a shield. Below the shield on a blue banner the motto of the university ‘Empowering Women’ is written. The girl holding a book supported by laurel wreaths projects ambition and triumph of the goals she strives for. The shield symbolises protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the open book symbolises education, learning, knowledge and wisdom; the laurels symbolise ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication and the colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.
