AMITY UNIVERSITY JHARKHAND The emblem of Amity University Jharkhand (AMJ) at Ranchi, Jharkhand has a shield divided into yellow and dark blue sections. The dark blue portion is a left to right upward sweeping stroke, bearing the name of the university. The yellow portion has a torch, the flame of which is written using its acronym. The shield has blue borderlines. The name and place of the university is written on the right side of the pictorial in classic serif font. The dark blue with contemporary cues of technology, performance and advancement strikes a synergy with the golden yellow radiance of tradition, culture and values. The shield signifies protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery and the torch signifies purity and passion for knowledge.

RAM KRISHNA DHARMARTH FOUNDATION UNIVERSITY The emblem of Ram Krishna Dharmarth Foundation University (RKDFU), Ranchi is an asymmetrical shield in red colour with blue band. The three flames above the blue band represent enlightenment, knowledge and transformation. The symbols of an open book, traditional lamp and a globe below the blue band represent education, glorification and nation respectively. The blue band carries the name of the university. Its motto ‘Education Glorifies Nation’ is written below the motif. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the colour red signifies passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration and the colour blue signifies serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF STUDY AND RESEARCH IN LAW  The seal of National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi has a green shield surmounted by a white banner with blue and green ends and black outlines, which carries the name and place of the university. The shield houses the motifs of a banyan tree, a two pan beam balance, its scale, acronym and its motto in Sanskrit ‘नासतो विद्यते भावो न भावो विद्यते सतः’ (Shloka 16, Chapter 2, Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘The Unreal Hath No Being; There is Non-being of the Real’. The shield is bordered on both the sides by a pair of six upward pointing arrows. SAI NATH UNIVERSITY

SAI NATH UNIVERSITY Sai Nath University, Ranchi has been established and incorporated by Jharkhand State Legislature. The insignia of the university in royal blue colour has a portrait of ‘Blessing Sai Baba of Shirdi’ ensconced in a white circular border carrying the name of the university and its place. The name of the university and place is written with sans serif bold font on its right.

Y.B.N. UNIVERSITY The Government of Jharkhand has created a new private university under the name the Y.B.N University situated at Ranchi in the state of Jharkhand vide its Gazette No.505 July 17, 2017. The circular emblem of the university has a red border, which carries its name and place. The circle encloses a mortarboard or oxford hat, an open book and four icons of joyous humans holding hands in pink, red, green, cyan and orange. The coloured human icons symbolise the diversity of students and teachers and the elaborate range of subjects they can learn in the university. The open book denotes knowledge and wisdom and the mortarboard hat meant for graduates meaning the graduation of students in their chosen subjects. The colour red symbolises passion, involvement and being productive; the colour blue denotes trust, character and integrity and the range of other colours denotes the diversity and variety the university caters to.

XAVIER INSTITUTE OF SOCIAL SERVICE Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS) is a Jesuit-run business school in Ranchi, India. It was established as an extension department of St. Xavier's College, Ranchi, in 1955 by Michael A. Windey with the objective of training young men and women in rural development, personnel management and industrial relations. In 1973 the institute was registered as a separate educational society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. Its logo has an emblem and a wordmark, which was added in the later years. The circular emblem has a shield in the middle with four parts namely a crop with cereal, mark of the jesuit with cross, a traditional lamp and pair of gear wheels. It is circumscribed by a circular border which has its name and motto ‘leaven in the dough’.
