PONNAIYAH RAMAJAYAM INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY The Ponnaiyah Ramajayam Institute of Science & Technology (PRIST) was founded in 1985 by Prof. P. Murugesan. It was initially known as the Institute of Computer Science and Technology. In 1988, the institute received affiliation from Bharathidasan University to offer postgraduate diploma programmes in computer applications. The emblem of the university has a blue and red shield supported by a pair of laurels. The shield holds the motifs of a temple ‘vimana’, an open book, a satellite and a gear wheel. SAM HIGGINBOTTOM INSTITUTE OF AGRICULTURE, TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCES The Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS) is established under Uttar Pradesh Act No. 35 of 2016. SHUATS is established and administered by the Ecumenical Minority Christian Society namely the Sam Higginbottom Educational and Charitable Society. It was earlier known as Allahabad Agricultural Institute. The emblem of the university has a map of India hosting a crop; a power till and its motto ‘Serve the Land Feed the Hungry’ in a circle surrounded by a yellow border carrying the name of the university and place. This circular motif is placed above a cross with a red outline. This is supported by a pair of laurels of leaves, flowers and fruits and a banner bearing the year of its establishment. SANTOSH Santosh University was started In 1995, as Santosh Medical College and Santosh Dental College and Hospitals in Ghaziabad. The emblem of the university has a shield with thick red border bearing Caduceus the Staff of Hermes entwined by a pair of snakes and wings. The staff of Hermes symbolises the medical profession. The shield is supported by a pair of blue laurels and on the bottom of the shield on a red banner its name is written. The shield symbolises protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the laurels signifies victory and achievement and success and the colour red signifies passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration.

SANT GADGE BABA AMRAVATI UNIVERSITY Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University (SGBAU) was established on Maharashtra Day, on May 1, 1983. The emblem of the university has a glowing red sun on a yellow circular background, cresrted by its motto in Sanskrit ‘सा विद्या या विमुक्तये’ meaning ‘That which Liberates is Knowledge’ which forms part of a verse appearing in Vishnu-Purana (1.19.41) and supported by an open book bearing its year of establishment. It is ensconced in a yellow border which bears its name in English and Devanagari. A pair of floral laurels support this circular emblem. The sun symbolises light, universal prosperity and path for growth; the open book symbolises knowledge and wisdom and the laurels symbolises victory, success and achievement.

RAJIV GANDHI UNIVERSITY

RAJIV GANDHI UNIVERSITY Rajiv Gandhi University (formerly Arunachal University) is the premier institution for higher education in the state of Arunachal Pradesh and has completed twenty five years of its existence. The university was converted into a Central University from April 9, 2007. Its predominantly blue circular emblem has yellow details and a red banner. It has a Buddhist stupa supported by Buddhist symbols; crescent moon, traditional lamp, sun and a book. This is supported by a red banner on which its motto in Sanskrit ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’ meaning ‘Knowledge Imparts Mortality’ is written. All these are surrounded by a circular border which bears the name on top and a pair of laurels on bottom.

INDIAN INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TIRUCHIRAPALLI

INDIAN INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TIRUCHIRAPALLI Indian Institute of Information Technology Tiruchirappalli (IIITT), also known as IIIT Trichy, is an Institute of National Importance and one among the 21 IIITs proposed under the non-profit Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Model by MHRD. The logo of IIITT has a black and white photograph of the gopuram of the temple of Srirangam supported by a book, surrounded by a circle of leaves and a laurel on both the sides. The gopuram or tower symbolises greatness, height and glory of education, spirituality and divinity in achievements supported by the book of knowledge. The circle of leaves adds to its nearness to nature and the laurels symbolise consistent and everlasting victories in the chosen field of education. It is unfortunate to note that an institution of ‘National Importance’ from the state of Tamilnadu - a known centre for educational excellence has a logo which needs professional touch in its execution

NATIONAL ACADEMY OF LEGAL STUDIES AND RESEARCH The National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) was established in 1998 by a Statute of the State of Andhra Pradesh. Since its inception, the University has been home to vital conversations on law and justice. Its emblem has a brightly glowing traditional lamp supported by a book on a reading stand, crested by its motto in Sanskrit ‘धर्मे सर्वम् प्रतिष्ठितम्’ meaning ‘All things are Lawful in God’ and supported on both the sides by laurels. At the bottom on a banner ‘NALSAR’ and its place ‘Hyderabad’ is written.

MANIPAL ACADEMY OF HIGHER EDUCATION Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), an Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University, is a self-financing higher educational institution that started its operations in 1953 by establishing the first self-financing medical college as a Public Private collaboration model. In June 1993, this group of institutions have been declared as Deemed to be University. The logo of the manipal Group is a musical identity or a musical logo. It is known as ‘Manipal Mogo’ in short. The Group's visual identity of the Manipal logo is centred around the manah symbol. The rich orange tone of copper signifies the change from the past (heritage) to a bright and prosperous future. This Manipal Mogo soundscape captures the exploring, caring nature the Group wants to bring alive through its businesses. Its logo is supported by a pair of laurels and its tagline ‘Inspired by Life’ is inscribed at the bottom.

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY PUDUCHERRY National Institute of Technology Puducherry (NITPY), nestled in the scenes of Karaikal, a coastal enclave in the basin of river Cauvery is one among the ten new NITs in the Union Territory of Puducherry. Fifty of seats reserved for the candidates having residence/native at Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe, Yanam and the remaining 50% seats are filled on all India basis. The predominantly blue colour circular emblem of NITPY has a shield in a circle having a book with one of famous Einstein's equations; a student with a trophy emerging from the book; a pair of laurels supporting these; a pair of flying birds symbolising freedom and discovery and waves of water supporting all these. The shield stands in the foreground of a glowing sun in blue colour with blue rays, symbolising openness and infinity.
