ATMIYA UNIVERSITY Atmiya University was established on April 13, 2018, under the Gujarat Private University Act 11, 2018. The gold and blue circular emblem of the university has a hexagram with blue lines and gold fillings holding a glowing sun with a motif of a learner with an open book with a lotus in the background. This is ensconced in a white border with blue outline, which carries its name and its motto. Its motto in Sanskrit ‘सुह्रदं सर्वभूतानम्’ (Shloka 29, Chapter 5, Bhagavad Gita) is an expression of willingness to attain harmony with each creation of the Almighty. It means ‘Friend of All Beings’. The hexagram has been used in India daily for thousands of years. In Buddhism it is used to achieve a sense of peace and harmony in meditation and in Hinduism it is a symbol of the goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of fortune and material abundance. The colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and the colour
