ALL INDIA INSTITUTE OF SPEECH AND HEARING The blue circular seal of All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH) has a face with mouth and a pair of ears with five circular waves holding a Staff crested by burning torch and a serpent. On both sides of the torch its motto in Sanskrit ‘पुरुषस्य वाक् रसः’ (Verse 1.1.2, Chandogya Upanishad) meaning ‘Speech is the Essence of Human Beings’ These are ensconced by a white border with blue outlines bearing its name and place. The torch denotes enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power and the Staff represents medicine and medical profession.

VARDHMAN MAHAVIR MEDICAL COLLEGE

VARDHMAN MAHAVIR MEDICAL COLLEGE The insignia of Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC) has a burning torch on a Staff entwined by a pair of serpents, supported from the bottom by rising sun and by a pair of laurels on sides. Below these, on a banner, the motto of the college ‘In the Service of  Humanity’ is written. The motifs are surmounted by its name. The torch represents enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; the Staff and the serpents represents medicine and medical profession; the laurels denote ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication and the rising sun denotes life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity.

DR. RAM MANOHAR LOHIA INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES

RAM MANOHAR LOHIA INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES The emblem of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (DRMLIMS) has a the Satff of Caduceus or the Staff of Hermes with a pair of wings and entwined by serpents, supported by an open book placed on a depiction of one of the university’s buildings in a circle. This circle is ensconced by a blue circular border, which carries its name in Devanagari. At the bottom, on the circular seal on a blue banner, its motto in Sanskrit ‘सर्वे संतु निरामयाः’ (1.4.14, Inspired from Brihandaranyaka Upanishad, Shukla Yajurved) meaning ‘May Everyone be Healthy’ is inscribed. The Staff represents medicine and the medical profession and the open book denotes education, knowledge, learning and wisdom. The colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

ATAL BIHARI VAJPAYEE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY

ATAL BIHARI VAJPAYEE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY The insignia of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU) has a circular seal supported by a blue banner bearing its motto in Sanskrit ‘आरोग्यमेव अटल अमृतम्’ meaning ‘Health is the Ultimate Nectar’. The emblem houses the motifs of the Staff of Caduceus or the Staff of Hermes with a pair of wings and entwined serpents supporting rising sun and supported by an open book at the bottom and a pair of fish on sides on a white circle. The circle is ensconced in a blue border which carries its name in English and Devanagari. The sun denotes life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the staff denotes medicine and medical profession; the fish represent the State of Uttar Pradesh and the open book denotes education, learning, knowledge and wisdom.

SRI VENKATESWARA VETERINARY UNIVERSITY

SRI VENKATESWARA VETERINARY UNIVERSITY Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (SVVU), Tirupati was established vide Act No.18, 2005 of Government of Andhra Pradesh with a mandate to strengthen education, research and extension activities in veterinary, dairy and fishery sciences. The then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh inaugurated the university in the premises of College of Veterinary Science, Tirupati. The university has faculties of veterinary science, dairy science and fishery science and started functioning from July 15, 2005 at ANGRAU campus and with Tirupati as headquarters from April 1, 2006 ( SVVU ).  The predominantly blue colour circular emblem has a blue circular border which bears the name of the university in Telugu and English. INTEGRATED DEFENCE STAFF

INTEGRATED DEFENCE STAFF Based on the recommendations of the Group of Ministers, the Integrated Defence Staff (IDS) was set up vide Government of India, Ministry of Defence letter number MoD/IC/1027/32/IDS/5843/2001 dated 23 November 2001. Its vision is to “act as a point organisation for jointmanship in Ministry of Defence which integrates policy, doctrine, warfighting and procurement by employing best management practices”. On December 24, 2019, the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) established the post of Chief of Defence Staff, a four-star general, a tri-service Chief, that shall lead the defence forces as well as play the role of head of the Department of Military Affairs. The body advises and assists the Chief of Defence Staff. IDS deal with higher defence planning, exercises, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief. acquisition, budget, training, international cooperation and medical issues.
