TAMILNADU NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY Tamilnadu National Law University (TNNLU) was established by the Government of Tamil Nadu by an Act of State Legislature (Act No. 9 of 2012) to provide quality legal education at the global level. TNNLU is the brainchild of the former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. The violet coloured circular emblem of the university has the motifs of a two-pan beam balance weighing scale, supported by a pair of hands and topped by a wheel. The wheel signifies life and its continuity, natural justice and time; the scales are the traditional symbols of justice as wielded by statues of Lady Justice and the supporting hands signify the support for justice, healing and life. UNIVERSITY OF GOUR BANGA The University of Gour Banga is a state aided university, which was established under the West Bengal Act XXVI of 2007 on February 19, 2008. The circular violet coloured emblem of the university has an open book in the centre circle of a square, whose corners have been treated as pentagons holding the glowing rays and supported by four pens forming the diagonals of a square  All these elements have been surrounded by thick borders and ensconced by a border with border lines bears the name of the university, a pair of twigs of leaves and its motto in Sanskrit ‘चरैवेति’ (Section 3, Chapter 3, Aitareya Brahmana) meaning ‘Keep Going, Keep Going’. INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY BHILAI Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhilai was established in the state of Chhattisgarh by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development in the year 2016. Its emblem in violet colour is a hexagonal shaped enclosure housing an expanding globe with its kernel. Mathematically, the hexagon has six sides - what makes this particular shape so interesting is that the hexagonal shape best fills a plane with equal size units and leaves no wasted space. Hexagonal packing also minimises the perimeter for a given area because of its 120-degree angles. MYNTRA The name Myntra is learnt to be an evolution from Mantra and modified to My Mantra taking the form of Myntra. This is a major fashion e-commerce company, Its logo is not an evolution from any existing typeface/ font. The monogram which has the first letter of the company name ‘M’ depicted stylishly using violet, light orange, dark orange and pink has taken the form of overlapping cloth patterns. Even the full logo has these and green, blue and black colours in, simulating overlapping of cloths. The finishing of strokes is not conventional. The strokes of the typeface / font end thicker and rounded. Obviously, these are meant to depict the product category – lifestyle and personalised products, which are meant for the contemporary neo rich and young. Therefore, the finish gives a casual feel but the colours give a flirty and fresh feel. The transparent overlaps tell, it is a cloth cut pattern. To sum up the use of violet, light orange and orange colours show more affinity
