MAHABODHI INTERNATIONAL MEDITATION CENTRE The rectangular pictorial emblem of Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre (MIMC) has a a range of snow clad mountains in the background with a green foreground having a stupa. A human being pushes a red wheel of life and dharma up the slope towards the stupa. This symbolises the stove for achieving the pinnacle of meditation through yogic practice.

WILLIAM CAREY UNIVERSITY William Carey University (WCU) was established through the Gazette of Meghalaya in Shillong. William Carey, whose name this university is named after, was an English missionary who is known as ‘Father of Modern Mission’ work in India. The emblem of the university has an open book supporting a gear and a flower with three petals in green, red and blue. The name of the university surmounts these motifs as an arc. The open book symbolises education, knowledge and wisdom, gear symbolises interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; the flower symbolises purity and loveliness; the colour green symbolises; the colour red denotes passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration and the colour blue signifies serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

SUMANDEEP VIDYAPEETH Sumandeep Vidyapeeth is an institution deemed to be university notified by the Government of India and established by KM Shah Charitable Trust. The circular emblem in blue has a monogram of ‘KM’ in grey and red, superimposed by a tooth, supported by a stethoscope and a pigeon. Below this, its status, year of establishment and place are written. A pair of green laurels hold all these motifs. These are ensconced by a circular border on which its name is written in a red sans serif bold font. It has two layers of decorative borders around. THE GANDHIGRAM RURAL INSTITUTE Gandhigram Rural Institute (GRI), founded by two dedicated disciples and contemporaries of Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. G. Ramachandran and Dr. T.S. Soundaram RamachandranIt earned the status of Deemed University in 1976. The red, green and blue colour stadium shaped emblem of GRI has a number of motifs ensconced in a border with red border lines. Inside the border line it has further been divided into five rectangles with one in the centre and other four on each of its four sides. The central box has an open book ensconced by a nine petalled lotus surrounded by a circular border of two lines. The boxes above and below this rectangle have ‘kolam’ patterns and the boxes on the left and the right each have two sets of concentric connected squares. The spaces in the corners have a caduceus, the staff of Hermes staff entwined with a snake, a plough, a charkha and a traditional lamp. The border around these has the name of the university written in green

COER UNIVERSITY

COER UNIVERSITY COER University is located in Roorkee, Uttarakhand was formerly known as University of Engineering and Technology Roorkee. Itwas ounded by Seth Roshan Lal Jain Trust in 1998 as the first private engineering college in Roorkee. On February 15, 2021, the Government of Uttarakhand State approved COER University as State Private University. The red, blue and green circular emblem of the university gear wheel waves of water, a dish antenna and a computer ensconced in a border with red outlines with its name and its motto in Sanskrit ‘चारित्तं खलु धम्मो’ meaning ‘Charity is the Religion’. The motifs represent the branches of engineering and science being taught in the university.

UTTARAKHAND RESIDENTIAL UNIVERSDITY Uttarakhand Residential University (URU) also called Uttarakhand Aawasiya Viswavidyalaya came into existence on September 6, 2016 by the Act No.20 of the State of Uttarakhand. Its logo is circular with a shield, a banner and a blue border. The shield and the banner are placed inside the border on a tricolour background. The shield has a blue border and is crested with a red rising sun from the Himalayan Mountains, which are supported by an open book with a pen and bulb on it. Below this a ball of flowers is placed. At the bottom of these is a banner carrying its motto and year of establishment is placed. All the natural elements depict the geography of the State of Uttarakhand. VEER MADHO SINGH BHANDARI UTTARAKHAND TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technical University (VMSBUTU) is a State university located in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. It was established on January 27, 2005. The emblem of the university in the colours of green, blue and red hots the motifs of a mountain with flowing river, crested by a wheel depicted like a sun, transmission tower, its name in Devanagari, year of establishment and its motto in Sanskrit ‘विद्या सर्वोपरि धनम्’ meaning ‘Knowledge is above all wealth’. These are ensconced in a circle which has a red border with the name of the university on top and a part of a gear wheel in blue at the bottom. ASSAM GRAMIN VIKASH BANK In Assam altogether five RRBs were opened at different points of time beginning with Pragjyotish Gaonlia Bank. On January 12, 2006 the Government of India amalgamated the four Regional Rural Banks sponsored by the United Bank of India to form Assam Gramin Vikash Bank (AGVB). The logo of the bank has a red square with a big ‘A’ written like an upward moving object, with its horizontal stroke is a green arrow swoosh from left to right. This is supported by its acronym in blue sans serif font. As a composite the motif looks like the tip of a rocket. A rocket is a powerful symbol of exploration, progress and hope. NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNICAL TEACHERS TRAINING AND RESEARCH, KOLKATA NITTTR Kolkata was the first among four such institutes (the other three being at Chandigarh, Bhopal and Chennai) established by the Department of Education, MHRD, Government of India, as fully centrally funded autonomous institutions for providing pre and in-service training to the teachers and staff of Degree and Diploma level training institutions and also for conducting various activities related to quality improvement of the technical education system of the country. Its circular emblem has a lamp in the middle ensconced by a bolt, which forms the centre of a wheel with eight spokes. Wheel symbolises motion and activity. The wheel has its acronym and place written in white on a blue border. Its motto in Sanskrit ‘लोकोहितार्थम् ज्ञानार्जनम्’ meaning ‘Acquiring Knowledge for the Benefit of the World’ is placed below the wheel. The emblem is supported by two pairs of green leaves.
