PROF. RAJENDRA SINGH (RAJJU BHAIYA) UNIVERSITY The circular insignia of Prof. Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) University (PRSU) has motifs of three rivers - Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati flowing and a pair of hands holding a globe of the world, which glows with 24 rays or spokes on a sky blue background. All these motifs are ensconced in a circular border with blue outlines bearing the names of the university and place in English and Devanagari and its motto in Sanskrit ‘न हि ज्ञानेन सदृशं पवित्रमिह विद्यते’ (Chapter 4, verse 38 of the Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘In this World, There is Nothing as Pure and Virtuous as the Pursuit of Knowledge’ and its transcription in English. BABASAHEB BHIMRAO AMBEDKAR BIHAR UNIVERSITY The name of Bihar University was changed to Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University (BBABU) in 1992. Established in 1960. The emblem of the university is in brown colour, has the motifs of a rising sun, a pair of folded hands, a decorative arch of Mauryan era, a person sitting in a meditative posture and iconic art and architectural symbols of Bihar. At the bottom these are supported by a pair of swans and a lotus. Its name is written in the bottom half of the emblem and it is surmounted by its motto in Sanskrit ‘नास्ति विद्या समम् चक्षुः’ meaning ‘Knowledge is the Greatest Eye’. NOORUL ISLAM CENTRE FOR HIGHER EDUCATION Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education (NISHE) comprising of Noorul Islam College of Engineering has been declared as a Deemed to be University by Ministry of Human Resource Development (Department of Higher Education), Government of India under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, on the advice of UGC, vide Notification No.F.9-51/2004-U.3 dated December 8, 2008. The gold and brown emblem of NICHE is a gear wheel with the icons of a computer; Caduceus or Staff of Hermes with a pair of wings and serpents; a power transmission tower; set of books, a scroll of certificate and mortarboard hat and a traditional lamp held by a pair of hands. NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF EDUCATIONAL PLANNING AND ADMINISTRATION The National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), a Deemed to be University since August 2006, was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The emblem of the institute in reddish brown has a pair of hands holding an open book and a lamp. These are ensconced by a circular border with red outlines bearing its name. Above the border its name is written in Devanagari. The lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity and the open book denotes education, knowledge and wisdom. The institute plays the role of the mentor in the endeavour of educational planning and administration. 

NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR TEACHER EDUCATION

NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR TEACHER EDUCATION National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), as a statutory body of Government of India, came into existence in pursuance of the National Council for Teacher Education Act, 1993 on August 17, 1995. The emblem of NCTE has an abstract symbol which shows a pair of hands supporting a light or lotus bud held by a pair of strong hands symbolise, enabling the teachers in their profession. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘गुरुर्गुरुतमो धाम’ meaning ‘Supporting the Teacher to Glory’ and its acronym are written.

SOUTH INDIAN BANK LIMITED

SOUTH INDIAN BANK LIMITED One of the earliest banks in South India, ‘South Indian Bank Limited’ came into being during the swadeshi movement. In the erstwhile logo of the bank, the unique picture is that of a coconut tree. The fronds of the coconut palm form the basic theme of logo. The sharp ends of the fronds are smoothened, thickened and twisted to form a ‘S’ denoting South Indian Bank. Thus the new logo has the continuity from its erstwhile logo. It can also be seen as two hands clinging to a strong pillar in the middle. The pillar represents the institution; the upper hand represents customers and the lower hand symbolises staff members. ‘S’ also projects a safe, solid, smart, strong, secular, shining, schooled, seasoned, successful and straightforward bank. TRIPURA UNIVERSITY

TRIPURA UNIVERSITY Tripura University began as a Postgraduate Wing of Calcutta University, in 1976 and transformed into a State University in 1987 and eventually a Central University in 2007. The emblem of the university has a sun in the centre of a circle surrounded by thirteen persons joining hands forming a lotus, is ensconced by a blue border on which its name is written on top and its motto ‘Pursuit of Excellence’ is at bottom. A circular blue border encompasses all these. Sun is the symbol of energy, light and power; thirteen in Hindu shastra and it means ‘trayodashi’. It is stated that if one does anything on that day, it will give good, positive results. The lotus is a symbol of purity, knowledge and wisdom. Joined hands of humans denotes collectivism and the strength of unity. 

SHREE VIDYA ACADEMY

SHREE VIDYA ACADEMY Shree Vidya Academy was established by Smt. Jaya Chaturvedi in 2000. Her vision was to bring holistic education into young minds with very strong basics, traditions and culture. Its logo is in the form of a tree rooted in a book, trunk as a pair of hands of teachers growing out of the book and supporting and nourishing the seven coloured - yellow, orange, red, green, dark blue, brown and dark brown foliage of students.

EMBLEM OF JHARKHAND

EMBLEM OF JHARKHAND Jharkhand is a state in eastern India which was carved out of the southern part of Bihar state on November 15, 2000. Jharkhand shares its border with the states of Bihar to the north, Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh to the west, Orissa to the south and West Bengal to the east. The name ‘Jharkhand’ means ‘The Land of Forests’. The emblem consists of multiple rings, in which elephants (the state animal) in green background in the outer ring, represent strength, wildlife, royalty and rich vegetation. The middle ring showcases, Palash flowers (the state flower), which are also known as 'flames of the jungle', representing rich flora, beauty and culture. The inner ring consists of people, in the unique Jharkhandi style painting, which represents rich history and strength of social bonding. The Lion Capital of Ashoka is at the centre, with the motto Satyameva Jayate. On July 22, the new emblem was officially granted approval to be used from August 15, 2020.
