The Staff is crested by a banner on which its motto in Devanagari ‘सत्य-धर्म-प्रेम’ meaning ‘Truth-Righteousness-Love’ is written and supported by a banner on which ‘Sevagram’ is written. All these are ensconced by a circular decorative border, which carries the name of the institution.

ICAR-CENTRAL INSTITUTE FOR ARID HORTICULTURE The emblem of ICAR-Central Institute for Arid Horticulture (CIAH) has a segment of circle with black outline housing the motifs of a microscope, a twig with fruits of Indian jujube and a laboratory flask with plants growing in it, all representing the arid climate and its horticultural plants and associated research in those domains. Inside the arch in a circle with black outline the motifs a gear wheel; a four petalled flower, a cattle, tractor, crest of cereal and an open and a microscope are placed. These motifs represent agriculture and agricultural engineering. On the base of the arch in between two gear wheels its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलं हि जीवनम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of Life’ is inscribed.

PANJABRAO DESHMUKH KRISHI VIDYAPEETH The green circular seal of Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth (PDKV) has a glowing sun which houses three symmetrically placed leaves holding a crest of wheat, an open book and a microscope; its name and its motto in Sanskrit ‘न समृध्दिः कृषिं विना’ meaning ‘No Prosperity Without Agriculture’. The sun denotes life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the leaves denote nature and agriculture, the crest and microscope represents the university’s domain of knowledge and the open book denotes education, knowledge, learning and wisdom.

A purple colour circular border on which the name of the university is inscribed, houses the motifs of an open book symbolising learning, education, knowledge and wisdom; rising sun symbolising life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the laurels denote ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication and a pair of wheat crests, a sunflower, a microscope, a tractor, a milk cow, fruits and vegetables symbolising agriculture and technology. The place of the university is written in English and Devanagari on a panel below the border. The name in Devanagari circumscribes the circular border. The banner at the bottom is inscribed with its motto in Sanskrit ‘अन्नम् हि जीवानां ज्येष्टम्’ meaning ‘Food is Life for the Living Beings’.

PROFESSOR JAYASHANKAR TELANGANA STATE AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY The green and red circular seal of Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) has a gear wheel holding a map of the State of Telangana housing the motifs of spikes of cereal, a satellite dish antenna, a village house, an open book and a microscope. All these motifs symbolise agriculture and agricultural education and research in Telangana. The gear wheel denotes interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure. The gear is surrounded by a white border, which bears the name of the university in Telugu and its year of establishment. P.V. NARSIMHA RAO TELANGANA VETERINARY UNIVERSITY The seal of the P.V. Narsimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University (PVNRTVU), has a circle holding the motifs of a map of the State of Telangana surrounded by a bullock, a sheep, a microscope, a pair of fish and a hen. Inside the map the Staff of Hermes or Caduceus with a pair of wings and entwined by a pair of snakes symbolising medicine and medical profession emerging from the letter ‘V’ denoting ‘Veterinary’ and supported by an open book symbolising education, knowledge and wisdom. The motifs around the map symbolises the domain of knowledge in which the university operates. This circle with motifs is ensconced by a white circular border carrying the name of the university in Telugu and a blue border in English. DR. Y.S.R. HORTICULTURAL UNIVERSITY Dr. Y.S.R Horticultural University was established by the Government of Andhra Pradesh through G.O. Ms. No.134 dated June 26, 2007 at Venkataramannagudem, near Tadepalligudem in West Godavari District. Andhra Pradesh is the leader in the production of mango, oil palm, chillies, turmeric, sweet orange, papaya and second largest producer of total fruits and spices. The university started functioning from June 26, 2007 at Venkataramannagudem. SARVEPALLI RADHAKRISHNAN RAJASTHAN AYURVED UNIVERSITY Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurved University, Jodhpur is the first Ayurved university of Rajasthan and the second of its kind in India. The emblem of the university has a tree on earth near a waterbody, a rising sun, microscope and a pestle. At the bottom its motto in Sanskrit ‘धन्वातिष्टन्नोषधिर्नीम्नमापः’ is written. All these are ensconced in a red circular border which carries its name in Devanagari and English. The year of its establishment is placed above the border at the bottom. All these are placed in a red square box. The colour red symbolises passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy; the rising sun denotes light, universal prosperity and path for growth and the tree symbolises strength, individuality and expression, calmness, growth and the interconnectedness of everything.

SANGAM UNIVERSITY Sangam University was established by the Badrilal Soni Charitable trust and promoted by Sangam Group of Industries in the year 2012. The logo of the university has a monogram and word mark. The monogram is made with ‘S’ in a blue and green circle and the wordmark is its name written with sans serif thin font. The word mark is supported by a chair, a mortarboard hat, a microscope and a globe. At the bottom its motto ‘Where Aspiration Meets Opportunity’ is written. The chair denotes the position the student can achieve, the hat denotes scholastic achievement and the globe denotes its global aspirations. The colour green symbolises agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth and the colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

CENTRAL INSTITUTE OF FISHERIES EDUCATION

CENTRAL INSTITUTE OF FISHERIES EDUCATION The Central Institute of Fisheries Education (CIFE) was established by the Government of India, with the assistance of FAO and UNDP on June 6, 1961. The Deemed University status conferred on it in 1989. The emblem of the university has an open book with blue colour pages on a yellow background, carrying the motifs of a fishing vessel, an aquaculture field, a microscope and a fish in deep waters. The book is crested by the logo of its parent body ICAR and supported by its status and ‘ICAR’. These are ensconced in a yellow circular border, which carries its name in Devanagari and English and its place in Devanagari.

SURENDRANAGAR UNIVERSITY Surendranagar University is located at Shree Pandit Nathulalji Vyas Campus on Wadhawan - Kothariya Road at Wadhavan Surendranagar. The circular emblem of the university has a border which carries the name of the university on top and a pair of laurels at the bottom. Inside the circle a shield is placed. It is divided into four parts of which one carries a plough, the second one three flying birds, the third a sun and the fourth a microscope. The microscope denotes scientific approach; the plough denotes agriculture and being rooted; the flying birds denote freedom of thought, imagination and greater vision and the sun is the symbol of hope, light, direction, being reliable and resolute. The laurels denote victory, accomplishment, honour, recognition, immortality, peace and harmony.

SRI VENKATESWARA VETERINARY UNIVERSITY

SRI VENKATESWARA VETERINARY UNIVERSITY Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (SVVU), Tirupati was established vide Act No.18, 2005 of Government of Andhra Pradesh with a mandate to strengthen education, research and extension activities in veterinary, dairy and fishery sciences. The then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh inaugurated the university in the premises of College of Veterinary Science, Tirupati. TAMILNADU VETERINARY AND ANIMAL SCIENCES UNIVERSITY Tamilnadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS) was started in 1876 as an Agricultural School in Chennai and became Madras Veterinary College on October 1, 1903. Established on September 20, 1989, TANUVAS is an autonomous institution governed by its Board of Management. TANTIA UNIVERSITY Tantia University is located in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, India. It was established under the Tantia University, Sri Ganganagar Act, 2013. It was founded as part of a series of initiatives launched by Dr. Shyam Sunder Tantia. The emblem of the university has a blue toned circle with a ‘T’ shaped torch; supported by an ‘U’ and an open book; a microscope and a stethoscope, which is surrounded on top by its motto ‘Excellence, Innovation, Achievement’. UTTAR BANGA KRISHI VISWAVIDYALAYA Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya (UBKV) is a State agricultural university in Pundibari about eleven kilometres North-West of Cooch Behar, West Bengal, India. It was established in 2001 by an Act of the West Bengal legislature.
