MURSHIDABAD UNIVERSITY The insignia of Murshidabad University is predominantly in bright deep teal tones. It has a picture of the university with its year of establishment is placed in a circle. It is surrounded by a circular border bearing its name in English and Bengali has a cyan border with triangular edges. Below the seal, on  blue banner, its motto in Bengali ‘সা বিদ্যা যা বিমুক্তয়ে’ (Rishi Parāśara, 1,19.41, Viṣṇu Purāṇa) meaning ‘Knowledge  is One that Liberates’ is inscribed. The colour deep teal blue symbolises higher consciousness, tranquillity, healing and new beginnings.

PLAKSHA UNIVERSITY PUNJAB The emblem of Plaksha University Punjab (PUP) depicts an abstract version of plaksha (Ficus lacor) tree or Java fig tree in teal blue colour, which is used in Ayurvedic medicine and is considered sacred in Hinduism, which is found in northern parts of India. This pictorial symbolises knowledge and growth with its branches reaching outwards to represent expanding knowledge and creating a positive impact on society. The elegant teal blue colour is a bluish-green shade that symbolises gentleness, calmness and serenity of blue and strength, growth and high-spiritedness of green.
