JAWAHARLAL NEHRU PORT AUTHORITY The emblem of Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) is in the form of a globe. The shades of blue in the JNPA logo are inspired by the water bodies. The wavy strokes and lines refer to JNPA as the port that offers flexibility and ease in operations. The designs are in the shape of a globe which refers to the port’s service to international trade. The rotating arrows around it suggest trade mobilisation in imports and exports. The steer at the top signifies JNPA’s vision to be at the apex of trade in India and the white strokes at the horizon represent its International footprint. The waves at the bottom symbolise modern container handling port, facilitator of international trade and being highly efficient and productive.

MORMUGAO PORT AUTHORITY

MORMUGAO PORT AUTHORITY The emblem of Mormugao Port Authority (MPA) has the motifs of an anchor, a lighthouse, a ship and a pair of arrows depicting repetition placed on an elliptical globe of the world. Below the ship, its acronym is written in bold red typeface and its name written in Devanagari below that. The motifs refer to port, shipping, loading and unloading and servicing the globe. The colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty; the colour red symbolises passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration and the colour cyan denotes sky, hope and spring, peace, tranquillity, calmness, relaxation and emotional balance.

MILAN 2024 The circular seal for the Milan 2024, the multinational naval exercise organised by Indian Navy, has a globe with Ashoka Chakra placed above the map of India, a lighthouse with beacon, a warship with guns and wavy waters of the sea written with ‘Visakhapatnam, India’. These are ensconced by a circular tricolour border referring to India and a blue border, which carries the name of the event, its tagline ‘Camaraderie Cohesion Collaboration’ and a pair of anchors. The emblems circumscribed a rope similar to the one used in seafaring and ships. The globe denotes the reach and scope of the exercises; the naval ship refers to the navies of the participating countries; the blue waters refer to the seas and oceans; the beacon denotes the guiding light and the anchors refer to the navies.

SINGAPORE INDIAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY The circular emblem of Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) is a blue globe with longitudinal and latitudinal lines with a pair of thick red arrows facing each other placed on it. The globe refers to the nature and scope of commerce and trade and the red arrows refers to the reach and access and the willingness to go dynamically. Below the pictorial, its name and years of establishment of the Chamber are written.

DAVANGERE UNIVERSITY The emblem of Davangere University (DU) is designed on the theme to save the planet earth with the theme of  ‘inclusion and sustainability through education’. The outline of faces in the logo depicts the youth power moving ahead with a mission of development for humanity. The laurels on either side of the globe signify the sustainable approach to protect the environment and earth. The book symbolises the knowledge which is open to everyone to achieve the end. The motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा  ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya, 1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘From Darkness Lead me to Light’ is inscribed on a banner placed below the globe. These are surmounted by a semicircular blue banner, which bears its name and supported by a white banner with red outlines bearing its motto ‘Destination Success’.
