RAM MANOHAR LOHIA INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES The emblem of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (DRMLIMS) has a the Satff of Caduceus or the Staff of Hermes with a pair of wings and entwined by serpents, supported by an open book placed on a depiction of one of the university’s buildings in a circle. This circle is ensconced by a blue circular border, which carries its name in Devanagari. At the bottom, on the circular seal on a blue banner, its motto in Sanskrit ‘सर्वे संतु निरामयाः’ (1.4.14, Inspired from Brihandaranyaka Upanishad, Shukla Yajurved) meaning ‘May Everyone be Healthy’ is inscribed. The Staff represents medicine and the medical profession and the open book denotes education, knowledge, learning and wisdom. The colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

SRI VENKATESWARA VETERINARY UNIVERSITY Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (SVVU), Tirupati was established vide Act No.18, 2005 of Government of Andhra Pradesh with a mandate to strengthen education, research and extension activities in veterinary, dairy and fishery sciences. The then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh inaugurated the university in the premises of College of Veterinary Science, Tirupati. The university has faculties of veterinary science, dairy science and fishery science and started functioning from July 15, 2005 at ANGRAU campus and with Tirupati as headquarters from April 1, 2006 ( SVVU ).  The predominantly blue colour circular emblem has a blue circular border which bears the name of the university in Telugu and English. NIMS UNIVERSITY RAJASTHAN Nims University Rajasthan, Jaipur is a largest self-financed university in Rajasthan, which is structured as a composite model university. This was established under the Nims University Act, 2008, enacted by the Government of Rajasthan and recognized by the Government of India Under the provisions of Sections 2(f) of the University Grants Commissions Act, 1956. The emblem of this university has a shield divided into three segments of red, green and blue with a yellow border. The red segment has caduceus staff that was carried by the olympian God Hermes. In Greek mythology, Hermes was a messenger between the gods and humans (which explains the wings) and a guide to the underworld (which explains the staff). Hermes was also the patron of travelers, which makes his connection to medicine appropriate because doctors of the olden days had to travel great distances by foot in order to visit their patients. ALL INDIAN INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES KALYANI All India Institute of Medical Sciences Kalyani (AIIMS Kalyani) was officially approved, under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY), by the Union Cabinet on October 7, 2015.
