ARUNACHAL UNIVERSITY OF STUDIES The Arunachal University of Studies has been established by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh through an Act of State Legislature. The circular emblem of AUS has a fourteen petalled blue and green flower holding an orange coloured book, is ensconced by a green circular border, which bears the name of the university and supported by a hornbill, the official bird of Arunachal Pradesh. The open book symbolises knowledge, education and wisdom; the flower signifying purity, innocence, peace, serenity and calm; the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth and the colour blue signifies serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY ARUNACHAL PRADESH The National Institute of Technology, Arunachal Pradesh (NITAP) was inaugurated on August 18, 2010 as a member of a group of ten new NITs. These new NITs were established as centres of excellence in technical education to combat the growing need of technological professionals in India. The emblem of NIT Arunachal Pradesh depicts the value and aim of education and at the same time glorifies the natural beauty of Arunachal Pradesh. In the logo rising sun reminds us of the fact that Arunachal Pradesh is known as ‘land of rising sun’ in India. Rising sun signifies that this institute will produce new emerging talents. Open book symbolises academic betterment of students with the help of books and produce assets for the country. NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY NAGALAND

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY NAGALAND National Institute of Technology Nagaland (NITN), an Institute of National importance is a higher education technical Institute located at Chumukedima (Dimapur), Nagaland. It is one among the ten newly approved NITs by the Government of India in 2009 under the 11th Five Year Plan and it started functioning from the academic year 2010. Its emblem has a dodecagonal leaf platter on which, circular motif is placed inside a border. The dark green colour border has its name, supported by a pair of Ashoka Chakras and its motto ‘Education is Power’ written on it. Inside the circular space, with the background of a mountain, land and waterbody a pair of hornbills, a Naga shield with helical DNA structure, an opened book with an antenna, telecommunication tower, atomic structure, magnetic force illustration and an electric transmission tower are placed. At the bottom of the book ‘2010’, its founding year is written.

EMBLEM OF ARUNACHAL PRADESH Arunachal Pradesh is the easternmost state of India. This part of the Himalayas, containing the sources of the Brahmaputra. On its territory the North East Frontier Agency - NEFA was created in 1954. This Agency administrated until 1972 as a part of Assam. In 1972 Arunachal Pradesh became a Territory of the Union. It was given the status of a State in 1986. The emblem of the state shows a rising sun between the two highest peaks of the country: the Komdi - 4185 metre and the Daphabum - 4578 metre. In the middle is a buffalo’s head and on both sides, as a kind of supporters, two Greater Indian Hornbills (Buceros Bicornis - Bucerotidae) the state bird of Arunachal Pradesh.In chief is the national emblem of India.
