THE MAHARAJA BHUPINDER SINGH PUNJAB SPORTS UNIVERSITY The Maharaja Bhupinder Singh Punjab Sports University, Patiala (MBSPSU) has been established vide Notification on August 29, 2019 under the Punjab Act No. 11 of 2019. The  UGC accorded recognition to the University under section 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956 on September 9, 2019 started functioning from September 16, 2019 from the premises of Professor Gursewak Singh Government College of Physical Education, Patiala. The university has been granted membership of Association of Indian Universities (AIU) from April 1, 2020 and placed in the North Zone. It has three constituent and five affiliated colleges offering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in physical education and sports, sports science, yoga, physical fitness and health science. The university has established a State Training Center (STC) in polo and equestrian at Patiala and is setting up STCs for boxing, fencing and basketball. A new campus is under construc

NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME National Service Scheme (NSS) is an initiative of the Central Government (Ministry of Youth & Sports Affairs), the National Service Scheme (NSS) aims to provide hands-on experience to young students in delivering community service. It provides student youths of 11th and 12th standards and technical institutions, graduate and postgraduate colleges and university level with an opportunity to take part in various government led community service activities and programmes. The Logo for NSS is a pictorial mark logo consisting of a picture. It also comprises several avatars like graphical elements in the middle surrounded by the typographic ‘National Service Scheme’ in Devanagari script as well. The red colour indicates that the volunteer is full of young blood that is lively, active, energetic and full of high spirits. The motto of NSS ‘Not Me But You’, reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for selfless service. NSS

SPORTS GOODS EXPORT PROMOTION COUNCIL Sports Goods Export Promotion Council (SGEPC) , a Government of India sponsored organization is working for the promotion of India’s exports of sports goods and toys. Founded in 1958, SGEPC represents all the leading manufacturers and exporters of sports goods and toys in India. Its indigo coloured logo S and G placed in a sporty manner.
