INDIAN INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT JAMMU The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) brand has now become synonymous to innovation, talent and zeal for success and contribution in management. The Government of India established IIM Jammu in Jammu and Kashmir in 2016. IIM Jammu inaugurated its off-Campus at Srinagar on January 24, 2020. The core principles of IIM Jammu are portrayed aptly by our logo, depicting the dynamic and sharp leadership of a flying eagle. The distinct quality of an eagle, of training its young ones in an unique manner, relates to the philosophy of our institute. UNIVERSITY GRANTS COMMISSION In his speech, Shri Vajpayee spoke of the need to take a fresh look at the UGC Act, 1956 in the light of the new challenges for the education sector emerging in the twenty-first century. He also suggested that the Commission could consider changing its name to the University Education Development Commission and have a new identity. Traditionally, UGC was entrusted with the task of coordination, formulation and maintenance of the standards of university education. NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY GOA The National Institute of Technology Goa (NIT Goa) is a premier technical Institute of the region. NIT Goa was established in the year 2010 by an act of parliament and it is declared as ‘Institute of National Importance’. The emblem of this institute is dominantly blue and circular with a white border. The border carries its name in Hindi and English along with its motto in Sanskrit ‘या विद्या सा विमुक्तये‘ meaning ‘True Knowledge Liberates’. Inside the circle in cyan background a Florence Nightingale oil lamp with flame is placed surrounded by a sprocket wheel. INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY DHARWAD Indian Institute of Technology Dharwad (IIT Dharwad) is an autonomous premier Science and Technology Institute established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India in 2016. Its emblem has a five petalled lotus in reddish blue colour with a golden yellow sun in its centre blooming over an open book. Sun symbolises energy, dynamism and reliability; lotus symbolises knowledge, purity, sanctity and divinity and the book represents knowledge, wisdom and education. Its tagline ‘सा विद्या या विमुक्तये’ in Sanskrit meaning ‘Knowledge is one that Liberates’ is placed at the bottom.
