DAMAN DIU AND DADRA NAGAR HAVELI TOURISM The light blue emblem of Daman Diu and Dadra Nagar Haveli Tourism (DDDNHP) is a panel with a border made up by the motifs of the traditional mask, a pair of local flowers, vegetables, fish, deer, snails, swans, anchors lions and cannons and flowing waters and a church. The panel holds the name of the tourism establishment and at the bottom its tagline ‘Small is Big’ is written. The motifs which form the shape and border represent what is available in the State’s geography and a tourist attraction. The emblem is innovative, representative and attractive. The colour light blue represents the blue waters and tranquillity, peace, health, healing, acceptance, truth, serenity, trustworthiness, reliability, wisdom, creativity, spirituality and softness.

MUKKA PROTEINS LIMITED The emblem of Mukka Proteins Limited (MPL) has a cyan and grey square standing on its corner, with its top half in grey has the sails of the boat and bottom half has flowing blue waters with fish and a pair of sailboats. The acronym of its name is written on the pictorial in red. This pictorial is adapted from its parent company, which is in the business of producing fish meal. Its name is written on the right in red extra bold serif capital and lowercase and black sans serif capitals, with cyan colour underline. The colour cyan denotes sky, hope and spring, peace, tranquillity, calmness, relaxation and emotional balance and the colour red denotes passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration.

DR. SHAKUNTALA MISRA NATIONAL REHABILITATION UNIVERSITY The emblem used by the Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University (DSMRU) is the same as the emblem of the State of Uttar Pradesh. The state emblem dates from the time of the United Provinces. It represents the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswati by wavy flowing waters between a pair of fish which is a Buddhist symbol signifying freedom from restraint and the life-giving properties of water and the two rivers. Between the arms of the pall there is a bow and arrow, the arms of the heroes of the Mahabharata. The emblem is similar to the ancient emblem of the last Nawabs of Awadh where fish occur in their motifs.

KERALA UNIVERSITY OF FISHERIES AND OCEAN STUDIES The circular emblem in tones of blue of Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS) has the motifs of a Chinese fishing net, a fishing trawler, a fish, a conch and a prawn placed on a circle holding sky and ocean. This circle is ensconced by a three dimensional border, on which its name, its year of establishment and its motto in Latin ‘Fiat Piscis’ meaning ‘Let it be Done’ is inscribed. The motifs represent the educational domain of the university. Below the circle, an open book symbolising education, knowledge and wisdom is placed. The colour blue signifies water, river, ocean, and other water bodies. It also signifies serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

Narsimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University (PVNRTVU), has a circle holding the motifs of a map of the State of Telangana surrounded by a bullock, a sheep, a microscope, a pair of fish and a hen. MADURAI KAMARAJ UNIVERSITY Established in 1966, Madurai Kamaraj University as a State University. The coat of arms of the university is a blue shield supported by a red banner on which its motto in Tamil ‘மெய்ப்பொருள் காண்பதறிவு’ which mean ‘To Seek Truth is Knowledge’. PURNEA UNIVERSITY Purnea University, Purnia was carved out of Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University, Madhepura on March 18, 2018 by an act of Bihar Assembly. The circular emblem of the university has a lotus leaf supporting an open book, a lotus and a rising sun crested by three motifs of humans. These have been circumscribed by its name in Devanagari and English divided by a pair of fish. CENTRAL INSTITUTE OF FISHERIES EDUCATION The Central Institute of Fisheries Education (CIFE) was established by the Government of India, with the assistance of FAO and UNDP on June 6, 1961. The Deemed University status conferred on it in 1989. The emblem of the university has an open book with blue colour pages on a yellow background, carrying the motifs of a fishing vessel, an aquaculture field, a microscope and a fish in deep waters. The book is crested by the logo of its parent body ICAR and supported by its status and ‘ICAR’. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU) is a government fisheries university situated in Vettar River View Campus in the southern part of the city of Nagapattinam, Tamilnadu, India. It is about ten kilometres from the Nagapattinam Junction Railway Station. It is one of the premier fisheries universities. Its predominantly green colour emblem of the university has a gopuram representing the temple architecture of Tamilnadu and a flowing water body representing the domain of fish and fisheries, forming the backdrop for a traditional lamp symbolising light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity supported by an open book, which is a symbol of knowledge and wisdom.
