It is supported by a pair of leaves and its tagline ‘Balance Your Life’. The orange colour symbolises energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness and the green leaves refers to life, growth and nurturing and the colour light green symbolises new life and growth.

Deriving inspiration from this noble ideal, Kalakshetra Foundation was established. Kalakshetra Foundation as it is known today was recognised by the Government of India as an Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament in 1993 and is now an autonomous body under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The Graphic Era Educational Society (GEES) is a non-profit organisation. The emblem of the university has a gear wheel, which is half and half black carrying its motto ‘Transforming Dreams Into Reality’ on top and its name at the bottom. Within this the monogram of its acronym ‘GE’ is designed as a torch in orange and red.
