INLAND WATERWAYS AUTHORITY OF INDIA The cyan colour emblem of Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) is an interesting monogram of its acronym in Devanagari and English placed one below the other, to simulate a bridge and a ship on a river. The cyan colour symbolises sky, hope and spring, peace, tranquillity, calmness, relaxation, emotional balance.

CHHATTISGARH SWAMI VIVEKANAND TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY The emblem of the Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU) has gear wheel, houses Ashoka Chakra, the national emblem surrounded by satellite antenna, a satellite, a bridge and a testing instrument. The gear wheel is inscribed with the name and place of the university.  Below the gear wheel, on a banner its motto in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञानं ज्ञेयं परिज्ञाता’ (Shloka 18, Chapter 18, Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘Knowledge, the Object of Knowledge and the Knower’. The gear wheel denotes interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure and the other motifs denote engineering and technology.

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY RAIPUR

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY RAIPUR National Institute of Technology Raipur (Formerly Government Engineering College Raipur) is situated in the capital the State of Chhattisgarh3. From December 1, 2005, the institute has become the National Institute of Technology. The circular multicolour emblem has a shining sun in the centre with the backdrop of circumnutating squares, supported by a bridge, a glass flask, an antenna and a helical structure of DNA. This is ensconced in circular gear. This assemblage has a border in which the name of the institute is written in English and Devanagari. At the bottom on a banner its tagline in Sanskrit ‘नित्यं यातो शुभोदयं’ meaning ‘Let the Rise of Goodness Happen Every Day’ is written.

VISVESVARAYA NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, NAGPUR

VISVESVARAYA NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY,  NAGPUR Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur is one of the thirty National Institutes of Technology in the country. The Government of India conferred on the Institute, the Deemed to be University status (under University Grants Commission Act, 1956 (3 of 1956)) from June 26, 2002. Earlier, the Institute was known as Visvesvaraya Regional College of Engineering (VRCE) which was established in the year 1960. Its circular emblem is divided into four quarters, with a torch held by a hand in the middle. The first quadrant has a pair of meshing gears, the second has a book, the third has a bridge on a river and the fourth has an electricity transmission tower. The name and place of the institute is inscribed along the border of the circle. A banner at the bottom has its motto in Sanskrit ‘योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्’ meaning ‘Yoga is Skill in Actions’ is written.

INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY MANDI Indian Institute of Technology Mandi (IIT Mandi) has been established with the vision to be a leader in science and technology education, knowledge creation and innovation, in an India marching towards a just, inclusive and sustainable society. The theme of its emblem is the freedom to learn from the limitless domain of knowledge and the freedom to be unique. The emblem is composed of the suspension bridge of Mandi, an engineering marvel is the focal point of the with the symbolic representation of hills, sun and the Beas. It means that far from the maddening crowd, this bower of education is endowed with invigorating lush green surroundings. The sun rises on these mountains to spread the hue of true knowledge. The Beas, unaware of its own majesty, flows beneath an engineering marvel - a century old suspension bridge of the historical Mandi town.
