CHRIST Christ (Deemed to be University) was born out of the educational vision of St Kuriakose Elias Chavara. Christ (Deemed to be University) was established as ‘Christ College’ in 1969. The circular golden coloured emblem of the university has a candle with flame lights the darkness and illuminates it; The open book supporting it represents knowledge and indicates search of excellence; the five pointed star refers to the heaven by which one steers the course through highs and lows and the name ‘Christ’ in English and Kannada signifies the harmony between the parts and the whole. Its motto ‘Excellence and Service’ is written at the bottom of the circular border.

WHITE MEMORIAL HOMOEO MEDICAL COLLEGE White Memorial Homoeo Medical College (WMHMC) located in Veeyanoor, Attoor, Kanyakumari District is Taminadu's first private homoeopathic medical college. It was established in 1980 and is affiliated to Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University. Its circular emblem has three motifs and three words in a circle divided into three equal parts. One part has a red cross and a bible with the word ‘Similia’, the second part has three burning candles with the word ‘Similibus’ and the third part has Caduceus the Staff of Hermes entwined with a pair of snakes and wings with the word ‘Curenter’. The motto ‘Similia Similibus Curentur’, contrary to its literal meaning, means ‘All Diseases should be Treated by Similar Drug Diseases’. These are ensconced by a white border with black border lines, which carries its name and place. MAULANA AZAD NATIONAL URDU UNIVERSITY Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is a Central University established by an Act of Parliament in 1998. The logo of the university has two strokes of orange and green forming the shape of ‘U’ in tricolour and has a ‘Ashoka Chakra’ at its top. This is supported by an open book on which images of an atom and a burning candle are depicted. Its name is written in Urdu atop the emblem on a banner; written in Devanagari on a banner above the logo and in English at its bottom. The book represents knowledge and education; the atom denotes science and the candle denotes light and guidance to discover the unknown.
