S.A. ENGINEERING COLLEGE The seal of the S.A. Engineering College (SAEC) has a yellow monogram of 'SA' placed inside a green gear wheel. A motif of a factory, sun and an atom is overdrawn on the monogram. Its tagline 'Knowledge Highway' is written inside the gear wheel. Its name on red colour surmounts the gearwheel and its motto 'We Design Your Tomorrow' is written on a red banner placed below the wheel. The gear wheel refers to interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure and the other motifs denote the engineering faculties.

SAGARMALA The insignia for Sagarmala, the port-led development of logistics, has a helm of ship housing a motif of ship on flowing waters, a port, a connecting road to the land and a factory in tricolour of the National Flag. Below these pictorial its name is written. At the bottom its tagline 'Port-led Development' is written. The logo is legible, representative and informative.

UNIVERSITY OF MUMBAI The insignia of University of Mumbai (UoM) is a shield housing the motifs of its iconic tower, a pair of gear wheels and a factory building, a ship to represent the city of Mumbai’s port and an open book with ‘1857’, the year of its establishment written. Below the shield, on a brown banner, its motto in Sanskrit ‘शीलवृत्त फला विद्या’ meaning ‘Virtue is the Fruit of Knowledge’. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; The factory and gear wheels denote the industrialisation of its geography and the open book denotes knowledge, education, learning and wisdom.

BABASAHEB AMBEDKAR TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY The insignia of Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University (BATU) is a light brown colour shield with black outlines and details houses the motifs of Dr. Ambedkar, a factory and a ship on sea, surmounted by a circle holding a glowing traditional lamp crested by its motto in Sanskrit meaning 'Development Through Technology'. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the ship and factory denote industry and commerce and the lamp denotes light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity.

HARCOURT BUTLER TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY The emblem of Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU) is a shield with motifs of electrical engineering, a factory with chimneys and an open book supported by its motto in Sanskrit 'श्रम एव परं तपः' meaning 'Labour is the Ultimate Penance' and surmounted with its name and place in Devanagari and its acronym and place in English. The open book symbolises learning, knowledge, education and wisdom and the shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery. 

KOLHAN UNIVERSITY

KOLHAN UNIVERSITY The emblem of Kolhan University (KU) has its motto in Sanskrit ‘सा विद्या या विमुक्तये’ (Rishi Parāśara, 1,19.41, Viṣṇu Purāṇa) meaning ‘Knowledge  is one that Liberates’ is inscribed on a diagonally placed red square. Its four sides have motifs and illustrations of an open book symbolising knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; tribal musicians with their drums; gear wheel and factory building representing the industry and engineering skills and forest and life in villages in forests of Jharkhand. These are ensconced in a white circular border on which the name of the university and place are inscribed separated by a pair of laurels. All these are placed on a motif base of 24 green leaves. The laurels symbolise ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication and the leaves represent the geography and forests of the State of Jharkhand.

COCHIN UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

COCHIN UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY The emblem of the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUST) features a rising sun and coconut palm, which represent the birth of a new centre of learning in Kerala. The book represents learning, the factory represents its application and the transmission tower represents its dissemination. The motto in Malayalam ‘തെജസ്വി നാവധിതമസ്തു’ (Shanti Mantra, Katha Upanishad) meaning ‘May the wisdom accrued deify us both – the teacher and the taught - and percolate to the universe in its totality’ is written on the circular border and on the platform supporting the logo has its name inscribed on it.

SARDAR BEANT SINGH STATE UNIVERSITY Sardar Beant Singh State University (SBSSU), Gurdaspur was established by the Government of Punjab as an autonomous institution through registered society. The foundation stone was laid on February 28,1994 and the college was inaugurated on August 20, 1995 by the Chief Minister Sardar Beant Singh. The emblem of the university has a circular gear wheel outer with red circular outline. The central light colour circle has the motifs of a factory with smoking chimney, a dish antenna, a computer, a mechanical equipment and a banner with the motto in Punjabi ‘ਨਿਸਚੈ ਕਰ ਅਪਨੀ ਜੀਤ ਕਰੋ’ meaning ‘Make Sure You Win’ inscribed on it. These are ensconced by a yellow circular border, which carries the name of the university and its place. SAURASHTRA GRAMIN BANK Saurashtra Gramin Bank (SGB) is a Regional Rural Bank, established under RRB Act, 1976 with the amalgamation of JRGB, JAGB and SBGB. The Saurashtra Gramin Bank is jointly owned by the Government of India, Government of Gujarat and State Bank of India. The emblem of the SGB has a blue circular border in blue colour written with the name of the bank in Devanagari and supported by a pair of yellow colour laurels holds the motifs of a lion, map of the State of Gujarat, highlighted the Saurashtra portion of the map, its acronym, its tagline ‘Safety-Security-Growth' and a silhouette of an factory. AHMEDABAD URBAN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) was established on February 1, 1978 by the State Government of Gujarat. The prime objective of the AUDA's formation was to carry out the sustained planned development of the area falling outside the periphery of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. The important functions of the Authority include the preparation of a physical plan for the development of Ahmedabad urban agglomeration, to prepare the draft town planning schemes, to implement the revised town planning schemes and to monitor and control the development activities in accordance with the revised development plan. Its circular logo has four quadrants in the middle, with a man walking, a house, a tree and a factory. The diagonal separators act as direction markers in blue, orange, red and green meaning that AUDA covers all directions and the outer circle has a border which carries its name in Gujarati and English.
